The errrors are generally related to one another. The "F02" error is a slow drain problem. The "SUD" gets generated because it senses air in your drain pump (due to a possible blockage). More than likely you have an obstruction in your drain pump and you will need to clean it out. This is probably the reason for the pump sounding strange too. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385845-checking_drain_pump_in_whirlpool_duet

Follow the link provided and this should be a an easy process for you. Keep in mind, however, that if there has been something obstructing your drain pump for any significant length of time, you may have damaged to pump. It doesn't take much to cause irrrepairable damage (I know, its a crappy design). If you clean out the drain pump reservoir, and the error(s) reappear, you will have to replace the drain pump.

If you require a replacment pump, you can purchase a new one on line at searspartsdirect.com. Just type in your model number and the pump can be located under the "Pump and Motor Parts" heading as item number 10 (part #8181684). For instructions on how to replace the pump, follow this link:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r401845-replacing_drain_pump_whirlpool_duet

Hopefully, it won't come to the point of replacing the pump, but you have the information if you need to. I hope you find this information helpful. Let me know if you require additional assistance.

SOURCE: How do I access the pump on a whirlpool Ultimate Care II

A bad pump would not affect a washer's ability to spin. It would only affect the drain function. If the washer fills and doesn't do anything, or stops right after the wash cycle and then does not advance to the rinse cycle and drain, this is commonly caused by a lid switch malfunction. The lid switch is usually mounted under the washer top casing, on the right hand side on most top load models. It is activated by a plastic piece on the lid (called a "Lid Strike") through a small hole on the rim of the wash tub opening. In many cases the lid strike breaks off the lid, or the lid switch becomes loose and no longer makes contact. Inspect the lid to make sure the lid strike is still intact, and then inspect the mounting screws (adjacent to the small opening on the wash tub rim) and make sure they are snug. If you determine the switch to be defective, the following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385198-replacing_lid_switch

If the switch requires replacement, a new one can be purchased on line at searspartsdirect.com, pcappliancerepair.com, repairclinic.com, appliancepartspros.com. Just use your model number as your search criteria. All these sites offer competitive pricing, so shop all them for the best price.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

My Calypso washer at the start I hear water filling tub. Then it stops filling and hear a moderate humming noise. I replaced water pump but still doing the same. Please help. Thanks

The problem is not the pump. IT appears that the water control valve is bad or the voltage that controls it is changing and then the valve stops working.

DWF 415 Ikea Whirlpool Dishwasher as constant

DWF 415 Ikea Whirlpool Dishwasher has constant green blinking light. Drain pump works ok (as it will pump out a jug of water if I tip it into it!) but no water comes in. Cycle stops about 30 seconds after thre is no more water to pump. Any ideas on how to fix?

Water won't dump

When you replace the pump, always to remember to makes sure the pump is pushed all the way in so that the shaft has a good grip. Try taking it out and pushing it all the way in. The 4 legs should touch the motor, as you put the 2 little clamps on the top and bottom.

Good luck, I'm pretty sure it's something really basic with the pump :)

Not sure if manifold is leaking

Leaks water...check the pump first. The fill valve and hoses may be the next step. See how to take apart info. With the use of plastic drain hoses on many machines today, this has become a common leak trouble maker. The drain hose can rub the wall or a pipe and this will rub a hole in the drain hose.

My washer machine Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L is leaking water when I fill the tub with water. I opened cabinet and there is a small white box below the tub that is dripping water. My questions are...

is it filling filling filling and not stopping. or will it fill and stop when it is supposed to. if it's fill fill filling could be a hole in the pressure hose or a faulty pressure switch. but if itt does all the cycles and is leaking you probably have a bad pump tip the unit back a little so you can see under but do not tip all the way you will see the pump. see if it leaking if so replace tha pump.

Either you have a faulty water valve, which would either need to be fixed or cleaned, or you have constant power to the valve caused by a problem in the controller which does not allow the cycle to advance. If, as you say, it does not overfill, then apparently your water level control pressure switch is operating and causing the pump to turn on and drain as fast as it fills.
