Try using a preset picture setting & then compare that to your manual setting seems like you have gone out of sync.

In the menu system there is a reset (I believe it's all reset, or reset all...something like that) which should fix the issue.If not, leave the TV unplugged for 4 hours and plug it back in then turn it on.

If it happens when you only turn on the tv, it could be a factory setting, i suggest turning volume all the way down before shuting off unit and turning it back on. if it happens whislt watching tv, or at random, i feel you may have a problem with your audio output circuitry, Good luck.

Most of these units are a always on sitaution. Accept for TV's witch are temp controlled.

the clicking sound is the result of a faulty power supply, some capacitors(blown heads) on the power supply for the output voltage rail of the mains board need to be replaced.

dear, you have to check your +button whether it is holp the egde of your remote, open your remote and clean, and also check a button on tv for +volume button. there is a pulse condition sensed by the volume control stage. if you can manage do it, or take it to a technician.

Firstly, you should alter the picture settings on the TV. Most TVs have independant settings for tuner, scart and HDMI, so you may need to do this several times. Once for each.

Excessive contrast and/or sharpness on an LCD causes graininess, particularly around the edges of moving objects.

Check and adjust the following on the TV:

• Contrast - about 65% max
• Sharpness - 20%

These settings are a % of maximum, so you may need to work out a value if max is not 100.

Also turn off any contrast enhancements - (Contrast + / Digital
Contrast etc.) dependant on make.

I assume that you are using the upscaling facility of the Denon 1740 via an HDMI lead. If so, disconnect any other connections between the DVD and TV, particularly scart. If the scart is connected the TV will auto-switch to the scart input when you use the DVD, and you will not get the benefit of the high def connection.

This is probably obvious, but make sure the DVD is set to 1080p scaling, and you will need to manually select the HDMI input on the TV.
