LG French door refrig 766-what should I set refrig temp &. Then the freezer—- I know it will change to internal— I just need to ser temps’

I would set the fridge in the middle, check it in a couple hours and see what the temperature is. I like my fridge too be at 36 degrees. Adjust the temperature control as needed to get the temperature to what you like. Do the same with the freezer, I like my freezer to be around 28 degrees. My big freezer I keep at about 10 degrees.

Older model fridge freezes on the refrig. side

check the damper door and see if its iced up this is between the refrige and freezer compartments and lets cold into refrige from freezer,if it ices up in the open condition the refrige control cant change the temp, defrost the door and then see if the control moves the door,if so also check the door seals to make sure they are sealing good so as not to let warm air in that can condense and freeze things like the damper door

We frequently get a high-pitched sound-very annoying (sounds like a leaf-blower in the distance)

Tour freezer fan is building up ice. Unplug the machine for two hrs. and it will be fine.

Bottom freezer door opens when top door is open and then closed

the door pops open because freezer and frig. are connected together via duct. air pressure builds when you swing ref door closed. apply a small amount of vasoline to the surface of the hinge side of both gaskets. this will aid in door closure. also the unit may be not level

Roaring sound

I have had the same issues. I have owned my LFX25960 for 18 months. All the cooling, noise, and condensation problems are related to 2 fans. One for the freezer/refrigerator compartments and One for the Ice Maker. The fans, apparently, are not sufficient to move enough air through the coils located behind a plastic panel in the freezer compartment. The part numbers for my fans are 1. Ice Maker 4681JB1029E and Refrig/Freezer 4681JK1004E. It is not impossible, but fairly difficult to replace them yourself. You have to remove the large slide out freezer drawer and glides. Then work the back freezer panel loose from the bottom. Be careful not to break it. It is plastic.
Routine maintenance: Pull the refrig out from the wall and blow-out the coils and fan located on the lower right rear. You might find it easier to do this by removing the cover on the lower, back of the refrig.

Control panel for freezer and refrigerator

Behind the back panel of the freezer section is the evaperator assembly. on the rh side of the evaperator is a sensor pack that is for the defrost cycle. there is a thermo fuse inside of this pack that is open. The fridge goes into an error state if this fuse is open. unplugging the fridge resets the system. the sensor pack will have to be replaced.
