START/RESET LIGHT STAYS CONTINUOUSLY ON

I have had nothing but problems with Electrolux appliances, the dishwasher especially. Have you tried disconnecting power at the fuse box? You should be able to set back to factory reset by pressing the two buttons (about 1" apart just left of the far right, you may have to try pressing a few positions for a few seconds each spot along the pad and it will beep and "welcome" you again - that should reset it, unless there is an issue with your main board, in which case you will have to get it serviced.) Mine is no longer under warranty so none of the recent problems will be fixed, and many of the original problems are back after being serviced. I would never buy another Electrolux product ever again!

There probably is a bad micro switch that needs to be changed.

What type of dishwasher do you have? Has your kitchen floor flooded? If it has. The tray under dish washer isn't water tight. Moisture creates some unusual problems. Some of newer dish washer the there control panel under the top of door this also create problem especially if the switches are on the top of the door. Another moisture problem. I have repaired a new Electrolux dish was three times in less than 6 months. The floor would flood from the Maytag side load washing machine. The Madam of the house didn't tell me that the washing machine flooded the kitchen floor. No window in the door and sometime fill water solenoid would stick and fill the tube. When they open washing machine door, 12 gallons of water would spill. So I fix both of them. GB...stewbison

Flashing light is reset by pressing two buttons in sequence 3-4 times, to reset your dishwasher press these buttons in sequence:

High temp wash-heated dry-high temp wash-heated dry

It is possible that the door switch has failed as the bulb is ON even when the door is shut . This indicates that the SWITCH is not cutt off and so the program controller will not allow the module to go forward or work. It is needed that you start from this point to use a multimeter to check the switch/ poles contact to confirm.

This is normal. The door latch has safety switch that will not let the machine do ANYTHING unless door is latched. If you need to do maintenance, then you can pry with a screwdriver, or possibly tape the switch so the machine can still run

If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...

When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).

I can't get the light to clear off. I can "cancel" and it goes through the drain cycle, but when done after opening the door to reload, then trying to start, it does nothing.

Raise the temperature of your water supply. To reset computer open door,within 3 seconds hit hi-temp scrub then energy saver then repeat this. Close door and latch, push cancell button.
