If I recall the Sega Dreamcast wheel is a clasp type wheel. You need to push the disk down onto the wheel and you will hear it secure itself onto the wheel. Then close the wheel and you should be good to go. Don't just place it on the wheel... push it down until you here that little clicking sound and it should stay on the wheel.
Looks like your Dreamcast can't read the game properly either due to damaged disc or the dreamcast GD rom is not working properly. try recalibrating the GD rom using this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTMSRfEqWAU
I believe your device is overheating, you need to make sure that the Dreamcast is well ventilated, don't set it on a carpet or enclosure. BLow any dust from the unit, pull the Dreamcast out of whatever nook it is sitting in, and set it on a flat surface like a hard cover book, etc. See if your issues resolve themselves.
did you tested another dreamcast control...you had the same problem...so you have to check the protection Fusistor inside your dreamcast conector controller board....it seems like a blue or green normal resistor...marked as F1 on the board..change it with a simple fuse or an smd fusistor...Good Luck!
The Dreamcast is no longer supported because it was to easy to copy the games, but there are still a loyal few who keep the scene alive. I have no idea how much you want to put into fixing the problem, but the only way to fix your problem is flashing the Dreamcast BIOS.
oh that problem.. leave it coz some of the PAL games are really a trouble .. better leave them coz they wont work eventhough you try it a million times.. n.n
First off, NEVER store a game console on top of a subwoofer. It is like a giant magnet, and electronic devices do not handle magnetics. I don't think i've ever heard of a VGA box, Sega brand or not, killing a console. Millions use aftermarket AV cables and adaptors on all consoles without problem. I think it likely died from being on top of the sub. Relocate it and you should be fine. Running it for a few hours isnt likely either unless you had the vents entirely blocked.
To the guest who's drive isnt spinning, I would say your drive motor has burnt out. This doesn't indicate a defect in Dreamcasts, per se, it just means bad luck or excessive dust which killed it. Either buy a different Dreamcast or see if you can find a drive replacement.
Hope this helps.
you can get disks relayered at game stores.
there was a long period where this happened to me.
some games worked for a while, some didnt.
its the dreamcast.
you might wanna get anew power cable or just clear out the dust because that is the main problem with the dreamcast.
try playing with the console upside down
it sounds crazy but it worked for me.
