Awhile ago our 52inch phillips plasma tv stopped working. I turned it on one morning and the screen flashed red. We could her sound and change channels but still had the flashing red. We called Phillips and they were not much help since our warranty was up. We talked to a Tv repairman but he didn't work on Phillips tvs. But he did tell us that he thought it could be two different things, one would cost maybe 20 bucks plus labor or 800 bucks plus labor. My question is, is it worth it to fix these tv's? Is it possibly something we could do on our own? Is it something as simple as a fuse?
Open the back of the set and inspect the power supply board -- there should be two fuses on the board- they cost around 2 dollars at radio shack -- check all connections for wear or damage -- there are two boards in most televisions -- a power supply board and a audio / digital board -- one is probably board

We actually have taken off the back and it looks like a computer it sooo complicated. We did find fuses and actually found four. I am not sure what ones we should change or if we should try changing all of them? Also there was a flashing green light in the inside of the tv when we turned on the power with the back off. It was blinking the same time the screen was. Any ideas what that could mean?
We will try that and I will let you know if it starts working. Thank you so much for your help, we weren't sure where to begin and now we have an idea!
