SOURCE: how downgrading a psp from 5.51 on psp 3004
you cant. but 5.51 didnt do anything noticeable to the psp
SOURCE: I bought a psp 3004,is there code breaker to make psp comptiable
1st of all u need to have custom fw (firmware) like 5.00 M33-6 (i have this) u can buy a pandora's battery & downgrade it to that (depending on you're fw) or if you're fw is old enough u can simply upgrade it with an EBOOT.PBP (that contains the cutoms fw) from http://dl.qj.net/CFW-5.00-M33-6-PSP/pg/12/fid/25689/catid/114 or google custom firmware download for psp or m33-6 download. to put the cfw (custom firmware) on you're psp (MUST have a USB cord) plug it into the pc with you're USB cord then go to the following folders PSP>GAME>UPDATE & put the EBOOT.PBP file there (if 1 of the folders isn't there just make it)
then exit the windows unplug the psp go to mem card under saved games (in psp) & u should see a box in there, THAT is the update press x to go to it & follow the instructions. when u have the cfw installed and ready, go to a website that nisc posted (i use mininova.com & isohunt.com, although isohunt has isn't as reliable) and search for the game u want like patapon 2 then it should have some files there that u can download (it should be at least 50 mib's) choose 1, (u will need Bittorrent or azures to download it since it is a completely diff type of file) , when it is done downloading it should be a .rar file or a .iso or .cso file if it is a .rar file open it with a rar opener (i use Winrar) and inside there should be a .iso or a .cso file extract that to anywhere then plug in you're psp with the usb & inside it there should be some new folders if not just make them PSP>ISOput the iso or cso in there (the ISO folder) then unplug and go to mem card under saved games (on the psp) and there it should be! i hope this helped some. ~davidthebuck
