My KDC-3028 powers off when trying to play a cd. What could be causing this?

To plug up ipod you have to buy an ipod connector i found one for around 50 bucks at crutchfield.

TY TY TY..fixed this right on up. Only suggestion I could make is that a diagram of where the aforementioned buttons are. I did mine at night so the small words were hard to see. I just replaced my battery and cleaned off the cables connectors when this problem occurred. TY so much for this.
