If the brake lights and turn signal lights work, then there may be a bad fuse. Check the fuse box.

Look for a blown fuse or bad relay for the a/c in the front fuse box. If replacing fuse and it blows again, then there is a short circuit on the load side of the fuse which goes to the a/c compressor clutch. If fuse ok, try another relay to replace the possible bad a/c unit. The engine computer controls this relay. It also receives air temperature sensor reading from cold air path.

HAVE SOMEONE EXTRACT THE CODE FROM THE CAR'S COMPUTER. IF THERE IS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON THEN THE PCM HAS A CODE STORED ON IT. IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE A THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR, BUT JUST CHECK THE CODE TO BE SURE. SOME OF THESE CAN ALSO HAVE A BAD IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU TO FIND THE PROBLEM. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED, THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

On the 1997 Chrysler Town & Country LX, 3.3Litre, the tail lights don't work. The break lights work, the turn signal works also. It's not the light bulb.

All three of your lights on the rear are ran separately. The tail lights are ran with headlight switch the brake lights off the break sensor the turn signals are ran from arm switch and then there are relays as well. Electrical issues are a real pain to track. However that's not abnormal have 2 of the 3 working when theres a bad relay or short in the wire

Why did my radio and accessory lights go out on my 2001 Chrysler town and country?

On GM vehicles, the dash and accessory lights go out when there is a blown fuse on the tail lights. This design was to get your attention that your driving at night with no tail lights. Most tail light problems are from connecting trailer lights wrong or shorted bulbs/ sockets. This might not apply to Chrysler, but it's something to check.

Turn signals on 2001 Chrysler Town & Country cause dash lights to come on and speedometer & odometer quit working

I would say its probably a short or a ground problem at the turn switch or a wire in that area. you need a test light and probably a multi meater and some nohow a ground or wireing problem can even drive a master teck crasy.

1998 chrysler town &country brake lights dont work but the 3rd one does

do your dash lights go out too? .. corroded wires (you can do an insulation breakdown test), or its grounding out in the console, but that would most likely blow the fuse. check to make sure u r looking at the right fuse too, wires can be connected to other random components, for example you may find your horn doesnt work either. and being as you have 3 brake lights, it may be possible they are on 2 diff fuses

hope this helps some!

I drove my chrysler town and country this morning, when I went out to drive again the tail lights were on evenwhen the car was off. Its a 2002

are you sure its the tail lights and not the stop lights , could be the stop light switch that is under the dash and right above the brake pedal may be stuck.

Hi...i have a 2005 chrysler town & country sto & go LX 3.3L V-6 mini van....for some reason the brakes r acting up....sometimes they work sometimes the pedal goes all the way to the floor....master...

its sounds like it could be a bad master cylinder with an internal leak.it could also be a problem with the abs hydraulic module that for some reason is bypassing brake fluid within the unit itself.these problems won`t neccessarily turn on the dash light or activate the abs light.

2000 Chrysler Town & Country smelling fuel

check the fuel filter connections first. If all ok, have a mechanic check it. If there is an evaporative leak, the check engine light should be on.
