This is telling you that there is poor air flow or a blockage somewhere. To simply check for proper suction, remove the accessory hose to see if there is normal suction, if not then your problem is further in the unit. Troubleshooting from there will tell you where the problem is. Another possibility is that your thermal overload circuit is faulty. in this case a pro vac shop needs to service the issue.

I have a mach 6 that is shutting off....well first take off the cyclonic filter which is the big filter in diagram 3-6 in the owners manual. Clean it out using an air compressor to blow all the dirt out of it. Next clean the Secondary filter, which is the one we didnt notice and it was clogged with about two years of dirt in it. This is the filter in diagram 3-8 in the owners manual. Its kinda hard to see unless you know its there but this is the one causing all the trouble. Again take this filter out and blow it out using an air compressor or wash it with soapy water...but if you wash it you will have to let it dry before you use it again. The last filter is the hepa filter in diagram 3-9 in the owners manual. Clean it with an air compressor as well. Next step is to put it all together and make sure all the hoses are clear of debris by checking for suction at all the hose connections. I cleaned mine and now it is as good as new....which im glad cuz i hate shopping for vacuums.
