How do I configure the router? And whenever I try to open and view anything dealing with the router ie. Router Settings, Belkin Setup, etc... It gives me an error saying Belkin Setup/Router Moniter Application has stopped working, I click check online for solution and close program but nothing ever happens. What can I do?
You really don't even need the bulky software. You can access the router settings via http://192.168.2.1/ or http://router/. And if you want to use the USB devices connected to your router, my solution in this (http://www.fixya.com/support/t1568329-wd_book_1tb_not_recognised_belkin_modem) thread could help you.
Reset the Belkin router -
To reset the Belkin back to the default settings -
Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router and then power for at least 15 secs. Then release the RESET button.
Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

On the side of the router there is a small reset key, that will restart it.. if you are talking about reseting the software then you have to get into the routers homepage. Let me know if that is what you are talking about and I'll walk you thru it..but the hard reset should do it..

change your wireless mode to either 802.11g or 802.11.n, do not use 802.11b&802.11g&802.11n option.

Try the following:
1. Make sure your PC is connected to the router directly and the LAN ports are lighting up
2. Reset the router
3. Reset the network adapter on your PC (or just restart the PC)
This should ensure that you are connecting on the LAN port.
