SOURCE: canon ixus 50 the camera is not switching on and the lens is open

Check the battery cover closes properly, the camera will not operate at all if the switch thinks the cover is even slightly open. Try removing the card, sometimes they cause cameras to not start when they are faulty. If all else fails, the fuse is most likely blown. They are internally located just near the power switch but you are best to have a service centre replace it for you. Best of luck.

Its a one way street...from camera to computer...not the other way around. Doing that will eventually corrupt the card and sometimes even the camera.

SOURCE: Canon digital camera IXUS 86015 Yesterday I lost

Try using a card reader to download the missing 1000 pics. In the future, don't leave so many pics on the card...they aren't made for long storage. 0b2a25a.jpg

There is no way you can delete the date stamp from the photos you have taken.
For future photos you can either correct the date or disable insertion of date stamp.

One shot "delete all images" - how?

There is a MENU item that will allow you to delete all you photos at once... I believe you can simply press the menu and scroll to delete all.
You may have to turn the review off.
Let me know how you do.

Canon ixus 50 unable to delete photos from card

If the card is a removable memory card, take it out and use a adapter on your computer.  Format the card on your computer then put it back into your camera.  It should be ok after formatting on PC.
