Download the newest version of Window's Media Player FROM MICROSOFT. DON'T follow the link on the page that's giving you trouble. They've been known to put viruses into these links. Some websites have this issue because they don't actually have video to watch, just viruses to share. Anything that you want to watch on one website, is available on another.

Horrible Operating systems. Unfortunately, if you buy a new computer you are saddled with them. Stay with XP or Win 7. If not, good luck - you will need it! Very steep learning curve.

Yes you can as long as you have the installation disc with a valid product key. The disadvantage is an older operating system. The advantage is XP is more stable when installed and updated to Service Pack 3.

Vista Is newer and will have more support from new software and drivers for new hardware. Some functions and menus are different if you are used to XP. Needs more memory and disk space.
XP Is smaller and leaner. You can fit XP on a 2G (dos) partition. Works well for older machines.
