Yes, there is a small pin hole on the cd drive.

Take a toothpick or paperclip and press it into the hole. That will eject the cd.

Let me know if this works.

Best of luck!

Cd-rom player does not open

There are two ways to open the CD drive door if the button just below the drive tray does not work.
Go to My Computer and right click on the drive and click on Eject.
If this does not work then you can manually open the CD drive tray by -
Straighten a paper clip and gently insert it into a tiny hole below the drive tray next to the Eject button. Push the paper clip gently until the drive tray pops out, then pull the tray until it is fully out, then you can remove the CD disc.
If you still having problem opening with the Eject button, then the CD drive is faulty and needs replacing.

Cd won't eject

If you unbend a paper clip, there should be a pinhole in the drive. Push the paper clip into that pinhole until the drive pops out. Then you can pull it out the rest of the way. Then gently push it back it.

Well we have a acer computer and the cd drive is stuck

If pressing the eject button does not eject the tray, look for the small pin hole on the cd drive and insert a paper clip to press that hole. It would manually eject your CD tray. Hope this helps.

Replace cd drive

There's usually a screw on the bottom of the laptop that holds the CD drive in. Unscrew that, then push the eject button to open the tray, or straighten a paperclip and push it gently into the release mechanism hole in the front of the tray. This will release the tray. Gently pull on the tray and the whole drive should come out. You can probably get a reasonably priced replacement drive from Acer for from Ebay etc.

I have an Acer Aspire laptop 5335 series that has a DVD stuck. Is there a way to manually eject it?

Under the eject button in the CD tray, there is a little hole, insert a clip carefully to force release of the tray. The computer can be on or off.

Cd drive 3inch?

It seems that even though this is a slot-loaded DVD/CD-R drive that you can still eject manually by a button; the manual does not say it can take the smaller CDs but, it would seem odd that it would not.
