I have a similar problem. My engine shuts down after about five minutes..
Measuring the current into the distributor(ignition) reveals a jump in current from 3 to 40 amps.
The power lead is red on white and the ignition lead is yellow on black and goes into a connector under the dash where the ignition wire changes to white on black. Three different wiring diagrams give no clue to how this problem is caused.
Also, the starter is good for only a few turns after the engine warms up.

SOURCE: after driving about 45 minutes i shut off car go in store for a minute come out and car sounds like it wants to start but wont, i waited about 40 minuts then it starts. its happened a few times now. i

Slug the temperamental little beast in the nose, have the fuel pressure checked, try a tune-up with new sparkplugs and wires, new air filter, fuel filter, and PCV valve. If still no help, and no diagnostic trouble codes come up in an engine scan, have the ignition system analyzed.

My 03 kia sedona starts up and will idle for 30 or 40 minutes and die out ad start up again and run a few more minutes nd die again then not start for a few hours

Change the fuel filter and see it that helps. It sounds like a fuel supply problem, and the filter is the least expensive most likely place to start.

I have a 1989 Ford f150 drive for about 30 minutes it dies out or stop and want crank for about an hour

I would unplug the gas cap when it stalls; if you hear a hissing sound, change the gas cap, because it builds up a vacuum in the tank.

1995 jeep grand cheerokee laredo 6 cyl. randomly dies then takes anywhere from five minutes to hours to restart

The only component I know of, that shuts a Jeep off while idling or driving 40mph down the road, is a bad crank sensor. Usually when it starts going bad, it will sporadically shut off, like yours does. Eventually, it will just die and the Jeep will not start at all. Have it tested and replaced, if necessary.
