I had the same problem and just fixed it by taking the lid apart and putting it back together.

The first step was to unscrew the bottom part of the lid.

The second step was to force the center "pop top" back up. I did that by pushing screw drivers into the two large channels in the underside of the lid.

This got the lid to the point that it would go to the open position again, but when I closed it, it would jam again.

Next I removed the center pop top piece by prying back some of the four catches that keep it from coming out of the lid. I then straightened a little spring that looked to be bent. I put it all back together and now it works well. How to unjam the lid to an OXO Good Grip Pop Conta - unjam-lid-oxo-good-grip-pop-container-litsqjxkvr3lxcnrqpjpgh3e-5-2.jpg

Great explanation. Alas mine doesn't have those four catches anywhere visible, it's a circular thing not a squarish thing covering the spring. Hard to see how to remove it.

Thank you for this!! I love the containers and thought I was going to have to toss it - and it's one of thr larger ones. I followed your outlined process for dismantling the lid and saw the bent wire right away. I straightened it and it's good as new!

I have the round button variant. The button was stuck down. Removed gasket plate by unscrewing from main lid. Released the button by using a butter knife to push in on the gripping clasps you can see through the underside of the button. It would still sick though when used.

Pulled button out from the top by gently squeezing and rocking it out. On the inside bottom of button there is little metal clasp that looks like a paper clip. Make sure both legs are parallel and aligned and that there is still a small gap between them (roughly 1/8 inch). The legs of this clasp fit into the plastic bit that controls whether the lid locks down or pops up. So fiddle with that and it should be the fix.

Repair for Bent Lock Button Spring - OXO Good Grips Containers

  1. Disassemble the lid by unscrewing the inner sealing portion of the lid in the opposite direction of the arrows molded into two of the corners, then remove the inner lid cover by using the finger holes on each side of the cover
  2. With the locking button in the up position - from the sealing side of the lid (bottom) use a small flat-bladed screwdriver to pop the four locking tabs loose on the locking button and push it out of the lid. (You will have to look into the mechanism and locate where the tabs lock the button into the lid). Don't use excessive force, as you can break the tabs off.
  3. When examining the locking button interior you will see a small U-shaped spring with a 90-degree bend on each leg.
  4. The small bent portions must line up and the legs must be straight for the sealing mechanism to function. Adjust or straighten the legs.
  5. Reinstall the locking button in the lid while holding it flat with the seal side down.
  6. Test to make sure it works, reassemble the lid in the reverse order of disassembly. Note that the inner lid cover has two locating tabs or buttons that fit into depressions on the lid mechanism to lock it in place.
  7. Recheck for proper function.

Check the OXO on the lid. If it's at all diagonal, it needs to be force twisted back into place. You can pry off the center square cap on the other side and look inside to see the spring and slot. That will tell you which way it needs turned. It takes a bit of torque, but they snap back in place.

Installation of lid seal

Typically the lid seal has an opening all around the center and it must face up and fit inside the lid, once is fitted inside the lid cover, lubricate the bottom of the lid seal with soapy water and place it on top of the pump casing. Then apply pressure at the side tabs to snap the lid back in place, note that you may have to use a big C-Clamp to be able to put the lid back on.

I can't get the lid back on because of the seal. Can you help?

The lid seal has an opening all around the seal. Make sure the opening faces up inside the lid, there is a groove inside the lid where the lid seal sits in place. Once is placed correctly on the lid, lubricate the lid seal with soapy water and then place on top of the pump casing and just put pressure on the side tabs so it snaps in place. Note that sometimes is required to use a C-Clamp to put the lid back on.

Bottom drawer of dishwasher is jammed and stiff..cannot close...as well soap dispenser is stiff...what to do

The lid is pulling down by either left or right actuator causing the lid seal touching your tube. In running mode these 2 actuators pulling down the lid to seal the tube so no water leaking. When the cycle is completed, the actuators push the lid up. In this case one of them is bad not pushing the lid up. The actuators are not hard to replace. When you order, it comes with a pair, replace both. Inspect the lid, if the seal is damaged, you can order the lid to replace together.

The clean dish rinse solution in both drawers leaking out

Your seal aroud the top lid is bad causing the leaking. It is supposed to press down against the groove around the top of your wash tube to seal properly.
1- You need to take it out to inspect the seal, if it flare out, then it need to be replace.
2- If it is OK then your lid actuators on the both sides are faulty. They are supposed to bring the lid down, but either one side is broken then the lid is improperly sealed causing leakeage.
3- The Lid seal is sold in the whole Lid with installed seal together with holders from both sides.
4- The Lid actuators are sold in pair.
Good luck in finding the root cause.

I pulled the paper jam out, now printer will not print

Switch the printer off, remove the back cover, now you will see rubber rollers, try turning them slowly either upwards or downwards, if they move freely then proceed to the next step. Look for any paper or any loose pieces that are stuck between the rollers and casing, if so then remove it from the printer.

Close the casing at the back,Switch on the printer, now open the front of the printer, the lid should be pushed slightly upwards, you will see a clear ribbon and a round rubber bar, also you will notice the printer cartridges moving to the side as you open the lid of that printer. If the cartridges did not move back to the one side, it means that the guidance rod is dirty and sticky, even if it did move to the side, and you heard the grinding noise, take a piece of paper towel, wipe the metal rod clean, now take some clear vaseline, gently apply it to the length of the shaft / rod, now close the lid and open the lid after powering the printer. If the problem persist, it could mean that the roller gear is worn, this is situated on the one side of the round rubber feeder / roller. Try moving the roller with your thumbs, up or down. Is it jammed? Y then replace or have it repaired. N Close the lid, insert the paper and press the paper feeder button, did it load correct? Y then it is fixed, if not get back to me asap

Thank you gittos73.

It's as gittos says. When you open the door and look inside, at the very top of the door is a white square. This holds the metal clip. If you push the little white dot in the middle of this clamp gently, it gives way and you will see the round metal clip that goes all the way round the door rubber (gasket). Remove this and you can put your fingers round the gasket and pull it toward you.

Then take the lid off the machine and you will see a 6mm nut with a spring behind it and a wire clip similar to the front one, going round the gasket where it attaches to the drum. This has a crosspoint (phillips type) head on it and you can get a small screwdriver into it and undo it all the way. Then slide the gasket off and it will come away.

Fitting it is the reverse but it is a little bit tricky as you have to get the gasket behind the lip to make the seal. Take your time and they will both go round properly.
