That indicated you have a jammed gear in the tray mechanism. You might be able to unjam it by taking the cover off and manually running the tray out (with the unit unplugged!), putting the cover back on, plugging it back in... but more than likely you will need to buy a new cd player.

The pladder motor that spins the disc is open, or the laser pickup is defective, the whole laser assembly would need to be replaced, not cost effective to repair cheaper to buy.
buy a lens cleaning disc for the cd unit you may have a dust build up on the lens inside the cd unit.. if you are tech savy you can take the unit out take the cover off and clean with a soft cloth and some glass cleaner..
I find the best way to put music on you mp3 player is to buy the cd's very cheaply from amazon or ebay, and then rip them onto your computer using windows media player. once you have done this, you can just go into "my music", and drag all the files into your mp3 player in "my computer". This way can sometimes actually be cheaper than buying them online, and downloading them. (Plus you get the real cd cover and cd :-) )
hope this helps,

All CD players should fit. There is a curved panel that is usually supplied by the installation company, such as Best Buy, which will be snapped over the CD player once installed -- this will cover the gaps on the sides of the CD player.
You need to download a CD cover creator software. If you also want to print your own CD label stickers (round ones for the disk) you will need also to buy CD avery templates.
