GE XL44 gas range, oven dial doesn't have "lite"?

On the GE XL44 gas range, oven dial doesn't have "lite" on it like the stove top dials do. Does it light automatically when you turn it on to any temperature? New user to gas cooking, don't have the manual.

    oven will not come on self cleaning lite just blinks when you turn it on it lites in self cleaning then switch it to regular oven it goes out wife cleaned under it with drawer out then put back drawer then it messed up think she could of knocked something loose

Set the oven for the desired temperature. It will cycle on and off at that temperature.
It will lite automatically.

    With the control in the "off" position, the oven turns on and off by it self, how do I fix it?

No gas to the oven. Ignitor is lit. Top burners work properly.
I have the same problem. The burners work but not the oven. Ours started beeping with a FO code. The tech came out and said the control panel is bad and needs to be replaced. He also said ALOT of people are having the same problem and they might do some kind of recall down the road but for know we have to wait til Jan to get our part to fix it. Boo

I have a GE XL44 gas stove the oven will not stay lite why?
That's bad. Sounds like the burner is dirty.
and the gas belive it or not is blowing the polit out it hit it so fast. The gas can't go in the burner. There should be two screws that hold it in place take it off and clean. See if that will work. Let me know.

How do you convert the oven to lp gas on ge xl44 range
if this is a new stove need to change the pin in the regulator ,
then need to replace the stove top orifices from gas to l.p.
check under the stove for pieces they tape them under there by the regulator -- that how i found mine under my new jenn air

Stove top pilot light
I have a GE Gas Stove XL44 the stove top buners don't light by themselves without manual lighting. When I turn on the buner knob the buner doesn't click. Also I used my self- cleaning oven for the first time and stopped it before the time was up after that is when the stove top buners wouldn't light by theirselves.

Top works bottom doesn't
I have XL44 oven JGBP26. I replaced the glow ignitore on the oven but still will not glow. I carfully tested the current to the ignitore and showed 125 volts, I also tested the resistance on the control valve lead and to ignitore and showed 1100.
