Projection bulbs provide a high-intensity light. Most have an approximate 2000 hour life. This can vary greatly depending upon factors such as how often you turn it on and off and how often and how well you clean the filters. As the bulb begins to reach its life expectancy, it will start to get dimmer. A 2000 hour hour bulb, if it reaches that time frame, is expected to be putting out 50% (half) of the brightness that it did when new. It may simply be time for a new projection bulb.
simple: remove back cover and locate the three large black lens you will see top and dead center, clean them with either a lens cloth or a paper towel with glass cleaner----they are the light source for your picture and should be cleaned once a year---as they get dusty the picture gets darker and duller looking.\\
hi..first check it out the brightness. It is available in the
menu button, available on the top of the tv.If it still doesnt
work Projection TVs have a high intensity lamp as the light
source. They wear out and gradually get dim.You probably
need to replace it.
check it out..

You have to be careful when replacing the projection bulb assembly. Don't aways look for the cheapest as they are rip-offs that do not last long and are not as bright. Dont buy OEM "compatible" only OEM originals. Call Mits Customer Service for advice
Remove rear cardboard cover....can you see tops of red / green /
blue tubes ? Clean lens' with soft , dry cloth......Do you smoke ?
If not , replace back. Picture should now be clearer but not
necessarily brighter.......Next, remove front speaker grill and find
the RGB focus / screen adjust block....turn RGB screen controls
SLIGHTLY clockwise to achieve more brightness....not too much
or you will have retrace lines in background of picture.......Let me know after these steps are done........T.
The tv has a room light sensor, shine a bright light at it , does picture get brighter? other wise when it is cool open the bulb door , is it coated or blackened, Don't touch bulb at all.
and a heavy covering of dust on internal mirrors will cause the same effect. you will need help to clean it.
