It is sensing, and that you have something that needs a 'Delicate' setting, or a 'Woollens' setting. It provides water and very little agitation that might damage or stretch the clothes. Read the manual.

So when the cycle first starts, it will fill and agitate and spin. But then on the rinse cycle it stops?

Open the control panel. Unplug the timer and then plug it back in good and firm.
If it does not work correctly after that,
Replace your timer.

Thanks for your question You say it works on one cycle but not the other lets sat you start a regular wash ,the washer should fill ,wash for the minutes you have set, pump out the water #spin , Stop fills & rinse stop pump out water &spin If you try a delicate cycle and it does not do what it did on regular cycle . Sounds like a timmer to me.. got a couple bad cycles too bad its the main cycle
