Refilling procedure

You need to specify what brand is your printer. But the procedure is as simple as dirty. Make sure you have a cloth or paper to handle the messy part :).
Requirements: 1. Printer-Ink 2. Syringe with thin needle3. Piece of cloth
I will write how to refill HP cartridge, because I don't know your model.Ususally Hp cartridges have colored or black spot ont white sticker.Under this spot there is a tiny hole. This hole is designed to be used for refilling. You need to pierce the spot with the needle and start the refilling process.Make sure that there are no bubbles in the syringe and start filling slowly the cartridge. Do not hurry! Don't fill the cartridge to its full capacity. If your cartridge is 20ml fill only 15 or 16ml.After you finish set aside the cartridge for 30 minutes so that the ink settle. This is it!Good luck!

I don't know how to refill?

Refilling HP color printer ink cartridges saves money and time spent running to the store to find the right ink cartridge, which sometimes is out of stock. By having the refill kits for the HP ink cartridge, you can just refill the cartridge when the ink runs out. The refilling process is easy to do and anyone can do it in a few minutes. The ink kits come with directions and all the colors one will need to refill the ink cartridge.

1.Place a piece of paper towel on a flat surface. Remove the empty ink cartridge from the printer. To do this, open the cover and wait for the ink dispenser to move the ink to the open door. Lift up the tap that holds the ink cartridge in place and pull out the cartridge. Push the tap holder back down and close the cover.
2.Place the ink cartridge on the paper towel. Gather the ink refilling kit together with directions and place the ink jars on the paper towel along with the syringe needle.
3.Find the indents on the top of the empty ink cartridge. Poke these holes open with the pen. Sit the cartridge down and open the ink containers. The colors are yellow, cyan and magenta.
4.Read the directions to see where each color goes in the ink cartridge. Insert the syringe needle into the ink container and raise the stopper up until you have the recommended amount of ink to fill into the particular hole.
5.Insert the needle into the hole on the ink cartridge and slowly dispense it into the cartridge. Remember to go slow with this step. If you see the ink oozing out, stop filling and wipe with a paper towel.
6.Cover the holes with the tabs that come in the refill kit or you can use tape. Make sure the hole is sealed to prevent spilling or the ink drying up. Then replace the ink cartridge back into the holder in the printer.

I hope you find it very helpful. Thank you for using fixya.

I changed the toner drum in my Dell lasaer printer and now all I get is an error message with a flashing toner. How can I get the printer to print? Thanks,

Did you use a factory new toner cartridge or a refilled/third party cartridge.

If it is a factory new cartridge, contact Dell and let them know you were issued a defective cartridge.

If it is refilled or third party, try to get your money back and hope that you have not damaged your printer.

Then go get a factory new cartridge.

I dont know how to refill my canon ip2600 ink cartridge

Problem is resetting the IC chip that they install that calculates that your cartridge is empty, Refilling it doesn't work because the chip tells the printer that it'S empty. No way to reset it yet.

Streaky printing

Hi,
At most cases of printer, especially which have done refill at cartridge, print quality is poor or streaky. Many factors influencing this printed result. To overcome print quality is poor, maybe following tips can usefull to prevent printed pages are missing lines or streaky.

First step is ordinary to be done many people when print quality is streaky that is doing cleaning. To get good printed result, sometime this facility is used more than once.
Use Ink Refill with Quality Nicely
For printer have refilled, sometime the quality of printing is also influenced by ink. If will fill your printer again, use ink which the was quality of nicely. I have tested some refill inks at cartridge which have been ascertained still nicely ( sorry: I do not want to publicize result of this attempt). In the reality result make me surprise, there ink of refill making the printed quality is crummy. To choose ink refill read following tips :
  • See viscosity of ink, every merk of ink refill have difference of viscosity. Don’t use Ink refill too jell. Difference of this viscosity is no measure reference viscosity of ink from factory maker of printer
  • Don’t fear to try some inking merks. Done this, you’d find refill ink fitt with your printer. I now only using one merk of refill ink ?.
  • This suggestion of forum, but I still not yet proved. May believe or not. Good ink aroma of soft usually.
Change Original Cartridge
This is last choice. A lot not like to do this ways, because price of original cartridge still costly. Alternative, you can use compatible cartridge which the was price of cheaper than original cartridge. At newest printer, usually there are two until four cartridge in one printer. And price four same cartridge almost at the price of printer even there are some costlier.

Let me know !

Thanks

What you shoul do is, u buy a new cartridge. In future if you need to refill dont do it yourself, ask help from the shop you buy it.

1. Its not safe for your printer health in long term, if u insist to i recommend you 2-3 times only, and ask the computer shop teach you how to refill it or you can ask them to refill it for you.
2.you can get at a computer shop.

Color

I am assuming from your brief problem description that you are getting bad colors when you changed your color cartridge. Are you using a new and certified HP ink cartridge? Are you doing a refill of your old ink cartridge or have bought one of those "re-manufactured" cartridges? The head in the cartridge is very sensitive - when they are damaged or poorly handled - it could result in cross contamination of the color inks. Hence - the brownish color you see could be the result of that cross-contam. My impression is that the remanufactured or older or continously refilled cartridges may be more prone to getting damaged - maybe bec of inherent wear out. Hope this helps.
