2 partial labels being printed on 1 label

its normal, depend if the job you sending. and printer will look at ir as 1 label per one job, you can programing saying i want to print 10 labels of 10 and the countdown will start. its not a problam, its the way you send the job to the printer.

This sounds like a mismatch between the printer settings in the print driver and the label settings in your label design software.
In the printer driver - printer preferences- set the physical label dimentions.
Also set the printing defaults to the same settings.
In you design program ensure your label size is the same as the printer driver and also you can set the print preferences in the same program, ensure they all match and hey presto it works. This printer has capability to print on labels. Here are some tips when printing on labels:

· Use labels designed specifically for laser printers. Check with the manufacturer or vendor to verify that the labels can withstand temperatures up to 210°C (410°F) without sealing, excessive curling, wrinkling, or releasing hazardous emissions.

· Labels can be printed at a higher fusing temperature up to 220°C (428°F) if Label Weight is set to Heavy.

· Select this setting using the Embedded Web Server, or from the printer control panel Paper menu. Label adhesives, face sheet (printable stock), and topcoats can withstand up to 25-psi (172-kPa) pressure without delaminating, oozing around the edges, or releasing hazardous fumes.

· Do not use labels with slick backing material.

· Use full label sheets. Partial sheets may cause labels to peel off during printing, resulting in a jam. Partial sheets also contaminate the printer and the cartridge with adhesive, and could void the printer and cartridge warranties.

· Do not use labels with exposed adhesive.

· Do not print within 1 mm (0.04 in.) of the edge of the label, of the perforations, or between die-cuts of the label.

· Be sure adhesive backing does not reach to the sheet edge. Zone coating of the adhesive at least 1 mm (0.04 in.) away from edges is recommended. Adhesive material contaminates the printer and could void the warranty.

· If zone coating of the adhesive is not possible, remove a 2-mm (0.06-in.) strip on the leading and driver edge, and use a non-oozing adhesive.

· Portrait orientation works best, especially when printing bar codes.

· Use only paper label sheets. Vinyl, pharmacy, and dual-sided labels are not supported.

if you sending a file (ex. pdf or picture). to the printer, can do this, if you send the proper format with normal fonts (caracteres))to the printer, work fine. build new label from zebradesigner

THE LABEL SENSOR IS NOT SENSING THE BEGINNING OF THE NEXT LABEL

Clean the photo eye that senses the label gap with a q tip and alchol

Open side door release print head and remove label stock you will see small photo eye clean

put printer in manual mode( switch 1 on to and 1 on botom on

turn printer on it should advance one label and hit skip it should advance another

put back in computer mode

should work now if it still skips check yur label desigh=n software and label mode (continuous or sense label)

The first thing I would do is to default the printer then run a width calibration. The instruction are in the user's manual that should have come with the printer. If the instruction did not come with the printer I can provide the instruction.

This can happen if you have the wrong dpi setup. For instance the 105sl can be either 203dpi or 300dpi. If your printhead is 300dpi and the label you create is expecting 203dpi, then you will see shrunken label. Your situation doesn't exactly sound like this is the case but it may be worth checking.

It's not the printers, has to be the software.

Forward length matters in Label size detection. Width is just secondary. Length should be same for both. Else no, you have to had separate roll for each label size.

If the labels are same in length then there might be achance using Label Software that supports your printer.
