Cannot get emails.

Error message says "There is not enough memory to complete this task. Delete mail messages or other items on your device and try again." I've cleaned out the mailboxes. It still doesn't work. I've gone to the manual for instructions to delete applications, but I don't have "application" on the home page. What to do?

Is this a "stock" email program shipped with your Palm Treo?

Try to DELETE programs / Apps you don't use or need... ESPECIALLY those Apps that "auto-start" and eat up memory needlessly! *Note that some Apps are mandatory and when and if you delete them your OS / mfg will reinstall the apps they THINK you need.

IF you've added a additional App for your email service, some are poorly written and eat up bunches of memory ~ even when it's in standby waiting for new messages.

As a last resort, DELETE your email program and reinstall it with the latest version you can find that is compatible with your Treo.

SOURCE: Corrupt Date Book Fixed

Updated Instructions Simple fix for a corrupted Date Book sync error (at least it worked for me on my Treo 650). 1). Turn off 'Show Calendar Event' in the Phones 'Options - General Preferences' menu. 2). Turn off phone. 3). Set the Date/Time to the maximum limits (12/31/31) in Preferences. 4). Open the Calendar and view the maximum day 12/31/31. 5). Select 'Purge - (Delete events older then 1 week)' in the Calendars Options menu. 6). Reset the Date/Time to the current day in Preferences. 7). Hotsync (Desktop Calendar overwrites handheld). 8). Hotsync again to make sure you don’t get the error (Synchronize the files). That’s it. =============================== Outlook Calendar The attempt to open the database failed. Date Book application database is not found. Please invoke the Date Book application on the handheld once and re-synchronize. SOURCE: Original sync worked all others failed with 650 and Outlook 2003

I was ready to give up completely. Uninstalled, reinstalled, nothing worked. Here is what I did to resolve sync errors: 1. Perform a hard reset on the Palm 2. Go to the Palmone folder on your hard drive (C:\Program Files|PalmOne. Look for the Backup folder. Rename this folder Backup Old. 3. Connect the Treo to your computer. 4. Right click the Hotsync icon in the taskbar and click Custom. Change the four Outlook conduits (Calendar, Contacts,Tasks,Memos) to Desktop overwrites Handheld. 5. Run a Hotsync with the Treo. It should sync without errors. If you need to install additional applications you can add them now. This worked for me. I hope it helps with your errors.

SOURCE: Lost all contacts, memos, tasks, after LifeDrive Update 1.0

Well, I still don't know what happened, but things seem to be fixed. Just in case anyone else runs into this problem, here's what happened: Initial problem (recap): - on first HotSync after setting Quick Install to install the LifeDrive Update 1.0, the log showed the following error messages: Handheld Tasks application database version not supported. Handheld Notes application database version not supported. (Update 1.0 was installed successfully.) - after HotSync, all contacts, calendar data, tasks, and memos (i.e. all data synchronized with Outlook) were gone from the LifeDrive - subsequent HotSyncs produced the same error messages and did not restore data. Next day: - fresh HotSync synchonized other data, but not Outook data, HOWEVER - no error messages appeared this time (don't know what changed - neither PC nor handheld had been rebooted in the mean time) - used HotSync setup in Palm Desktop to set Desktop to overwrite Handheld for all Outlook data - it worked. Outlook data restored on Handheld. I don't understand what happened, but at least it was easier than doing a hard reset and then restoring everything.

SOURCE: cannot delete photos - access is denied

Turn off the device then turn it back on. that should solve the problem. normally this is because a program on the Palm is still associated with that picture. turning it off and on severs that association.

I hope this has answered your question sufficiently. If you have more questions please post a reply and i would be happy to assist. Thanks.

How do i delete a message on Microsoft outlook 7, for good. when i delete i just get a line thru the email.

Hi,
Normally, when you delete a message in an IMAP account, it gets a line through it, until you completely eradicate the message by purging the Inbox. (Many consider this an irritating "feature".) The message does not go to the "Deleted Items" folder, the "Trash" or anywhere else. However, after purging, a message that was marked for deletion will be completely erased.
To permanently delete the items marked for deletion, do the following:
Click a folder in your IMAP e-mail account (e-mail account: The server name, user name, password, and e-mail address used by Outlook to connect to an e-mail service. You create the e-mail account in Outlook by using information provided by your administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).). On the Edit menu, point to Purge Deleted Messages. Do one of the following:
Click Purge Marked Items in "folder".
Only items marked for deletion in the folder that you are in are purged from the IMAP mail server.
Click Purge Marked Items in "e-mail account".
All items marked for deletion in any folder for this IMAP e-mail account are purged from the IMAP mail server.
Click Purge Marked Items in All Accounts.
All items marked for deletion in any folder for any IMAP e-mail account are purged from the IMAP mail server.

How to delete multiple emails on mac air

Two options for Deleting multiple mail messages:

1. The video below shows how to delete a single mail message. To delete multiple mail message you would do the same thing except to delete several mail messages that are in chronological order you would select the top message...press and hold shift....and scroll down to the last message you want to delete and click on that message which will highlight all messages in between the firs and last message you selected. Release the Shift Key. And Delete.

2. To delete multiple messages that aren't in chronological order click on the first message you want to delete. The press and hold the Option Key (Windows Key if you have 3rd Party Keyboard) and select each message you want to delete and it will highlight all those messages individually. After you select all messages you want to delete let go of the Option Key and click on the Delete icon in the mail menu bar.

Important:
This places the deleted emails in your Trash folder within mail. To permanently delete the messages...Right Click on the Trash Icon or hold down Control and then Click on the Trash Icon and select Erase Deleted Items from the drop down menu and they will be permanently deleted and won't take up space on your hard drive.

I have a nokia c5-03 and i get the message:not enough memory to perform operation.delete some data first but i cannot enter anywhere(in settings) or application manager, etc because i get this error. also...

If the phone notifies you if the phone memory is getting low. To free phone memory you have the following options:
  • Move data that you want to keep to an alternative memory (mass memory or memory card, if available) or to a compatible computer.
  • Remove data you no longer need.
Use File Manager or the respective application in your phone to remove data or to move data to alternative memory as described in the user guide. Typically you first mark files to be removed or moved and then you select the corresponding option (Delete orMove to folder).

Use Nokia Ovi Suite to move data to a compatible computer.
In order to free phone memory, you could remove or move the following:
  • Messages from Inbox, Drafts and Sent folders in Messaging
  • Retrieved e-mail messages from the phone memory
  • Saved Web pages. Clear the web browser cache to free some phone memory (e.g. select Options > Clear privacy data >Cache).
  • Saved images, videos, or sound files (in Gallery, Photos,Videos or Music player)
  • Contact information (in Contacts)
  • Calendar notes (in Calendar)
  • Downloaded application packages
  • If there are applications which are not needed any more, uninstall them with Application Manager
  • Any other data that you no longer need
If you are deleting multiple items and any of the following notes are shown: Not enough memory to perform operation. Delete some data first or Memory low. Delete some data, try deleting items one by one (starting from the smallest item). After deleting data, restart (power off/on) your phone.
Tips: Use the memory card or mass memory instead of phone memory in the Camera or other applicable applications in case the selection is available (e.g. via Options > Settings >Memory in use).

I hope this helps!!

Computer won't delete items from inbox on outlook express

Do you have IMAP on your email server? IMAP is a duplicate of what you have in your email program, if your not deleting the messages on the server but only on your email program then your server space will be full and it will give people that send you email that message.

I inadvertently attempted to send a greeting card using an incomplete email address. Subsequently every attempt to email a card resulted in an error message that the card with the incomplete address was...

I have not tracked down what taman 2005 said. I would try "recalling" the message.
  1. Locate the Sent Items folder.
  2. Open the message that you want to recall or replace.
  3. Click Actions on the ribbon or menu, and then click Recall This Message.
  4. Enable the Delete unread copies of this message option to recall the message.
Check your inbox. Did you received a mail subsystem error message? If so, I would encourage you to delete both the message by which you attempted to send the card, delete it from the sent box of your mail account after you try the procedure above. And delete from your inbox any mail failure message related that refers to the term mail subsystem." Reboot. If this does not fix the problem, consider using an alternative email address to send the card.

Need to delete email w/2 large of attachment after clicking send

1. Go the File menu, then choose Work Offline in order to stop Outlook from trying to send all mails:
2. Switch to the Outbox.
3. You now have two options:
a. Move the message: you can drag-and-drop or use the Edit: Move to Folder menu item to move the e-mail to your drafts folder. This will allow you to re-open the offending e-mail and slim it down by removing the large attachments before attempting to resend it.

b. Delete the message: this will immediately remove the message from the Outbox and put it in Deleted Items.
4.

If you receive an error at this point that says the message is being transmitted, close Outlook, wait for Outlook to exit (you may need to use Task Manager and wait for the Outlook.exe process to exit), and then start Outlook again and repeat steps 2-3. In some cases, the item may not be released until Outlook has restarted.
5. Go to the File menu, deselect Work Offline to start sending and receiving mail again.

Error S7121

hey cloud 435,

This is a known error.. This is probably the error message that prompts in your cell phone, Error " Mail cannot connect to your desktop".

How to fix this?

  1. Close all web browser windows.
  2. Verify the Xpress Mail PE Desktop Client is connected:
    • If Yes, exit out of desktop client, restart client and then reconnect.
    • If No, start desktop client and then connect.
  3. Once desktop is reconnected, attempt to sync again from the device
  4. If problems persist, there exists the possibility that a corrupt email message or calendar event is causing the error.
  5. From the Xpress Mail client on the device, click Settings > Preferences > Calendar and uncheck Calendar sync.
  6. Perform a sync from the device.
    • If the sync is successful, then the issue pertains to a corrupt calendar event. Continue to step 7.
    • If the sync is unsuccessful, then the issue pertains to a corrupt email message. Log into the Xpress Mail and click on each individual email message to validate if an error appears. Email messages that are not causing the corruption will open as normal. The corrupt email will return an exception error. Delete or move the email message to prevent the S7121 error from occurring again.

  7. Attempt a sync once more.
    • If the sync is successful, enable the debug option on the desktop client and collect the log files for escalation to customer care. This is important as these errors can be reviewed to provide updates for the Xpress Mail application to prevent future occurrences.
    • If the sync is unsuccessful, then the issue pertains to another corrupt email message. Continue to review the messages using the Xpress Mail PE website until all corrupt email messages have been removed.
  8. If problems persist, attempt to uninstall and reinstall the client.
  9. If problems persist, please contact customer care.

Thanks and goodluck..
