How to setup my VCR to record programs from my Panasonic 42 Inch HDTV Plasma TV?

  • georgellopez Feb 27, 2009

I should refrase my question, I have satellite dish and a Panasonic Plasma "42" HDTV, I installed my DVD and VCR however my Panasonic VCR is not able to record off my TV like it used to do when I had a regular TV. How do I record what I'm watching?

You will take the video out and audio out from the tv, plug those into video in and audio in on the vcr, then put the channel on the vcr to line in, if your using the front, it will say front. Don't forget, DO NOT change the channel on the tv nor shut it off while recording this way or you won't have a recording.

TV doesnt matter, you need to list what kind of VCR your trying to program with.

if you are programming from cable, the cable box, box or not, should be ran thru VCR then VCR to TV.
to record. easiest.

if you are doing cable to tv to vcr. make sure that tv is in one of the AV spots, so when you select input on vcr itll show your tv again. program as accordingly.

The VCR needs to be connected between your Satellite box and your TV. If you can specify the all of the components in your system and how you currently have them connected I can easily help you with the proper wiring strategy.
