Try turning it on again and quickly press the source button several times until the source menu on the screen appears. Keep trying this method, and if the tv does not do anything then it needs to be serviced. If the tv turns on and functions normally after this wacky method then your power supply is developing a problem....its probably a bad capacitor or TO style diode.

The TV started turning itself off occasionally a

Most likley what it could be is an interferance in the TV. Modern TV's have a feature that will shut itself off when it is not receving a picture. For instance, after so many minutes of "snow" it will shut off.sometimes this can make the TV think there is no signal at shut itself off.Anyway, I suspect its an interferance issue. Perhaps moving the TV further from the source of the interferance might help.

Tv continues to turn on and off by itself..

When it shuts off by itself, does the blue circle screen under the "Samsung" label show a picture of a light bulb? If so, it's probably time to replace the lamp.

Tv shuts off immediately after turning on

Does it shut off shut off, or is there audio present after the lamps shut off? When you shine a light to the screen do you still see picture kind of?

If still see picture, it's inverter/power supply or CCFL bulbs itself. If no picture, completely off, it's DEFINITELY the inverter/power supply.

TV turns itself off after a few seconds, no picture at all

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

Picture got bigger

Yes, you can adjust the picture by using your remote going to settings, or "Adjust" when your t.v. turns on and off by itself could have'ft to do with nasty weather near you, or the cord is loose and it needs to be pushed in all the way.

Sounds like the typical Flyback and shorted horizontal output transistor. Problem is the transformer is NO Longer Available
