Hi, a similar issue with MSA 1xxx series StorageBoxes is found in the HP - Enterprise forums 409 Storage Box 1 Power Supply Failed MSA500 G2 . The error code might not be the same but if the device is still able to boot and run, you can clear the error code by pressing the left & right simultaneously while the error message is in display. This is stated in the following picture shown below:

IF you replace the HDD all ready and MSA still did not recognize it you need to replace the MSA back plane.

Yes, this problem relates to the i/o MSA module battery, needs to be replace

I had to replace the whole controller (which was defective) to get msa 1000 working.

1- Turn Off MSA and server
2- Insert new disks
3- Turn On MSA first then server
4- Access ACU and new HDD will be listed

Turn off MSA and cluster, turn on MSA and only one server, you will be able to access the data
