Can i know my mother board(intel d845epi /d845gvsr)support ddr1 ,if supports will i have any problems in future.

Did you check the RAM ?? . Remove Ram and Clean it and Put it back . and try . ( also remove Grapics card or any add on card if you have . Also try by removing HDD / CDD / DVD /FDD ect from the mother board and Just connect the Keyboard abd boot the Mother board . If your K/B Number lock can be toggled , then there is no problem in MB)

Yes, You can use 2GB ram in both slot...

Straight from intels web site...
Two 184-pin DDR SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets Support for DDR 400, DDR 333, and DDR 266 Support for up to 2GB of system memory

This link will provide you a list of ram modules compatible with that board. You should be able to reference the part number on your existing stick to check whether it's fully compatible.

your ram is ddr1 its mine too i have d845gvsr

The intel website has all the driver software available for their motherboards in the support section. They supply this free of charge and they have all the latest updates posted.
