Hotp[oint Aquarius WD440 washer /dryer - Has a distinct smell from clothes when washed like stagnant water is lying somewhere in the machine, It has all benn stripped down but cannot find anything wrong. Whats the solution????
If it is washer dryer, then it does not need ventimg, as it is a condenser type dryer, which condenses the steam back to wate therefore no hose neededr
take out small either blue or green filter from detergent drawer where you would normaly put the liquid softner and run it under hot water tap my guess is that the small pipe within is clogged this should clear it
press and hold on off button till the display panel lights up.Then press and hold the on/off button and the start /cancel button together. You will now reset the washing machine settings. And just pick your cycle again
If you are getting voltagae to the pump and the water is not pumping out then you have a bad pump, just replace it and you have the problem solved, If you do not have voltage then we would have to find out why.
The next step should be the pump out. If it is not pumping check your pump filter for obstructions. Check the drain hose and also your drain in the wall. If all are clear you may have a bad pump. You should have an error code coming up when the machine stops also, please let me know what it is. Thanks and I hope I can FixYa.

Remove the white plastic cover on the back near the bottom. To the right as you look at it their will be a black concertina pipe with a hose clip on its top edge. Undo this and pull the pipe downwards to reveal the filter. There will be a plastic ball inside (which is supposed to be there) remove this and clear out the cr*p.
