This means that you need an older version of software. to program the radio. When it comes to Kenwood the newer version software will not program the older FPU Version radios.

Hi, yeah i have had a similar problem with an icom battery i replaced it then it was fine.
SOURCE: Kenwood TK-3200L (K3) radio has (dial) tone only on all channels.
