I have recently bought an imported Japanese gravel express which has a Alpine MDA-W779JB car stereo. All the instructions are in Japanese and I need to alter the time. Can you send me English instructions on how to change the time of the Alpine MDA-W779JB? Cheers ........ Vicki
The manual appears to only be available in Japanese. Sorry. http://www.alpine.co.jp/alpine/owners/oml_images/pdf/mda-w779jb_om02.pdf I have however been able to badly translate the japanese for the clock setting - check page 50 of the manual (page 17 of the pdf file). It reads: To set the Time: keep pushing "Disp 1" until you get the time set mode (possibly means 'hold down' not keep pressing) press "Clk Adj" for 2 seconds or more and the time blinks If you push "H" within 5 seconds you can adjust the time. push "M" to change the values, then if you leave it for 5 seconds it is set. The first footnote says this directly translated - sorry I have no idea what they mean on this one (i think carries means saves in this case)- "When liking to adjust to time signal, when ?the time? ?, CT? is pushed after the setting ?amount? indication becomes with ?00?. ?: When indicating which exceeds 30? when ?CT? is pushed, ?the time? it carries" Second footnote says this; You can do this procedure starting from any mode. Hopefully, with the pictures in the manual to show you which buttons they are talking about, this can get your clock set. If so, then if you want to try and translate other parts of the book, just copy and past it bit by bit into; http://translate.google.com/translate_t?langpair=ja|en seems quite good as these things go. Hope this helps, if not please ask again and tell me what you got trying the above procedure. :)
