SOURCE: NEED TO REPLACE HEATER ELEMENT

You should be able to take off the back panel and see it. The heating element is USUALLY an easy fix. Let me know if you need any further help.

SOURCE: When I turn on my dryer on it gives a rattling/vibrating noise.

There maybe a lot of lont build up in the blower wheel housing. Take off bottom panel and take apart the blower wheel house and check for any lint build up....if it check ok, your drum rollers maybe worn....try checkin the blower wheel housing...hope this helps

SOURCE: LG DLE2516W Dryer suddenly making loud vibrating noise

Until you know how serious a problem you have, I'd advise against continued use. If you are in the USA, go to http://www.lge.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp
to find a service provider for in warranty service, or call LG USA at 800-243-0000.

SOURCE: The dryer tumbles, but doesn't heat

It is a breker in the dryer and you can reset it yourself and het it fixed and drying. Hre is how you can do it...
If you lift off the top by prying it up in the 2 front corners with a flat tip screw driver it will lift up to the back and then take out the 2 top front screws. There are 2 screws in the front off the lint catcher that you get to by opening the front door take them out and then the front off the dry comes off. Then you have to look at the heating tube (where the gas is ignited and the fire burns, which is in the bottom of the dyer under the drum) on the sides of the tube are sensors that are in holes in the tube, There is one that is on the side of the tube on the inside towards the middle of the dryer, it has 2 wires connected to it and in between the 2 wires where they connect to the sensor is a very small button which is a breaker. Push the button in and the gas will start to ignite again and you will get heat in the drum. I am not sure why this does this but it will happen more and more if it starts to happen, so you will start to get used to taking the front off. A service man showed me this after his 3rd trip within days to my house after I asked him how he was fixing it so fast without replacing anything. This was within a year of purchase... I am acually going to replace the switch to see if this will stop it from tripping like it does now which sometime can be as much as in between every load or can go for weeks with no problem....I have the matching pair of LG Front Loading Washer and Dryer which were very expensive and although they do a great job when working it is when they are working that is the problem. Since being new in 3 years both have broken numerous times including this self repairing pain in the *** problem which you are just starting to go thru. I have just gotten done fixing the washer for the 5th time by installing a sensor on the motor to keep the drum spinning this is 2nd one and I can't even tell you how many other repairs I have done. But I can telll you I can take apart to pieces by memory both of them in minutes from doing it so much and for the money spent this should not be this way. You should not have to spend a couple thousand dollars on a washer and dryer and have to become a repair man for the LG company just to get your wash done but yet this is what hapeened to me and it isnt right..LG was great the first few times with service calls but would not replace them and after a while you get sick of waiting for service and just start fixing it yourself, it is just easier and faster...wish I would of bought something else, :-(.....I have had $400 washers ans dryers that lasted 15 years with no problems that did as good a job as these......:-(

Dryer stops tumbling, but heating element stays on

Usually when an electric dryer overheats it's because of a defective cycling thermostat or a clogged vent system. Clean any lint from the internal and external ductwork, and/or replace the cycling thermostat

Lg dryer dle7177 cutting off during cycle

I had a tumble dryer that stopped working and after much investigation it turned out to be an internal thermostatic switch and lots of fluff around the internal filters. ( Mine had 2 of them 1 would cut the heat and kick back in when the temperature dropped and the other one would completely cut all power rendering the drier non usable until cicuit breaker thermostat was replaced. The reason they cut out is to prevent overheating and possible fire. When the thermostat gets to certain temperature it breaks the circuit. Apparently you shouldn't stop the drier until it has completely cooled down as there will be too much heat which could cause a fire, which is why most drier cycles have 10 minutes of cool/ non heated air at the end. So in conclusion I would take all the filters out and give them a good clean and try to avoid opening the door while there is still a lot of heat in the drier. I'm not sure if this will help but its a starting point.

Dryer will not stop running

Your machine may have a feature called wrinkle guard or wrinkle shield, which basically keeps tumbling the clothes without heat to prevent wrinkles from setting in. Turn that feature off and see if that does the trick.

Model DLE2516W Dryer sounds like something is

UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication.
And also the noise could be the front seal is out of alignment or broken and this may cause the machine to be slower in tumbling.
If you have a front loading machine,
Remove the electrical box that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer. Be real careful not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then remove the top of the dryer.
Remove the front of the dryer. Now you should be able to see the front seal and see if it is ok and now this will also expose the drum and belt Remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers.
Check your rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them replace them.
If they don't then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.
I will include these two websites for parts and further help:

Both also have chat assistance 24/7.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

On sensor dry, dryer remains at 1 minute for hours...will not shut off automatically

I'm sorry to hear of your problem with your LG dryer. I have one as well and it works very well. I found my owners manual. It has a web site WWW.LGSERVICE.com. They also have a toll free number 1-877-714-7486. Perhaps either of these will help you find an answer. Good Luck
