I have same problem Have replaced pump and motor at cost of over $500.00 with a technician.
Did not work using new replacement part also had to replace both remote panels and switch still did not solve problem. I have contacted whirlpool to complain found that this unit was discontinued due to faulty parts and faulty operation in many areas. Rather than recall they just discontinued and tried to make new replacement parts for the machine.. However the new replacement parts do not work on all machines. Some are lucky and the problem is solved for a small length of time. I am burned about this and am looking for others who would like to join forces with me to file complaint using the "Lemon Law" at most we will all get a new washer or whirlpool will have a lot of explaining to do. Won,t spin

A LD (Long Drain) error code means that (more or less), the drain pump is failing.

What does Code LD mean? When it is supposed to spin out, It stops and I get a code LD.

LD is a long drain code usually mean something is in the drain line or pump area. Check thes areas first. If nothing blocking them then the pump is going out.

Showing ld code and wont drain or spin

Hello the LD code simply means "Long Drain"
Is there water in the bottom of the tub? If yes then open back of washer and remove drain pump (on left side) and pull off of tub and clear whatever is blocking its impeller.
If the water is all gone and drained but pump stays on for several minutes and then gives "LD" fault then open back and check the small clear tube that is attached to the tub. Make sure is not blocked with debris and check tube and tub for anything that could block the small clear tube. If these are ok then remove 3 screws in back of the control panel, pull open control panel and check the clear tub all the way up from the tub to the washer controller board (computer) make sure it is not kinked or disconnected. If not then the problem is most likely the pressure sensor on the (computer). This unit will have to be replaced.
You can test the sensor by doing the following: 1. When the "LD" fault comes on start by pressing the pause button. then pull the clear tube off of the computer board. Then attach a tight fitting drinking straw over the sensor. Press the start button and wait for 60 seconds - If the washer does not start the spin cycle on its own after the 60 seconds then **** on the drinking straw that you attached to the pressure sensor earlier. The sucking action should reset the sensor thus telling the computer that the water is drained and it will start the spin cycle. Just remember if you have to do this to get the washer to spin - that means the sensor is damaged most likely from moisture traveling up the tube over time. The computer board will need to be replaced. I believe it costs $205 without shipping.

Thanks

Ld code on Bravo washer what does it mean

The "LD" code or "long drain" indicates a pump/drain related issue. Check the drain line for kinks or obstructions. Check the pump. Remove the hoses from the pump and use a flashlight to look into the suction port. Make sure nothing is clogging the pump (like the occasional stray sock) and check the pump impeller. Make sure the impeller has no broken/missing blades and that it spins freely. If any blades are missing/broken or if you can't get the impeller to spin freely, the pump is defective. Hopefully it's just a clogged drain line, pump, or jammed impeller. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

My washer stops at the spin cycle. The LD code

“F21” (AKA SD) is a Long (SLOW) Drain error (LD). If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a “SUDS” error may also be displayed. This may be an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1.First, attempt to unplug the washer for at LEAST 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit. If the error code returns, proceed to step 2.
2.Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
3.Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
4.Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.
To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump.

Giving ld code and won't spin

Hello Friend, (ld) means long drain. If it takes too long to drain it won't go into spin or other cycles. It's possible that you have a blockage in your drain hose or pump. Remove pump and check. I hope this info was helpful. Tim

Stops between rinse and spin cycles giving a ld code..

ld sure sounds like lid switch problems. Suprised to see this so soon, but I did see one come apart on a fairly new Whirlpool. Luckily, it should be easy to check. Unplug the machine first.

Kenmore Calypso washer Ld code?

I just had the same problem. I borrowed my neighbors wet vac. The hose of the wet vac fit right over the end of the drain hose and I sucked out all the remaining water. My hope was that if the hose was clogged that it would clear it out. It seems that it worked. I put the drain hose back in the drain and turned on the extended spin cycle. It was working, so I put the water logged clothes back in the washer on the extended spin cycle and it took the water out. I am now in the process of washing another load to see if it really fixed the problem. I hope this helps.
