Hi - we use a Viewsonic N3760 LCD's for digital signage. Now it won't power on, when I press the power button in a green led light flashes on and off, on the front of the TV. Any ideas?

It may be a bad solder joint on the power supply board, it may also be a failing capacitor on the power supply board, It would require the board to be removed from the set and inspected visually as well as with a capacitance meter. Inspecting the solder connections for a questionalble one takes some time, but it may also be faster to simply reflow the solder connections on all the solder joints on the board.
Viewsonic N3760w LCDTV no power.
IrishDruid is quite correct in suggesting that you keep it on at all times.
If you switch it off you have to go through the hair dryer routine again (12 minutes the second time around).
If it does not appear to work when nice and hot switch it off at the mains and it will come on. Presumably that somehow resets it.
Thanks again ID.
Very carefully. I only would do it after you have verified the warranty
is expired per Viewsonic. If it is OOW, then you can call them for a
service manual that contains schematics, troubleshooting flowcharts,
etc.
YOU HAVE A VOLTAGE/CURRENT LIMITER PROBLEM THAT IS PROBABLY CAUSED BY A LEAKY CAPACITOR IN THE FEEDBACK CIRCUIT IN THE POWER SUPPLY. THIS CAN BE FIXED. I CAN GUIDE YOU IF YOU CAN SOLDER AND FIND THE PARTS- RADIO SHACK OR MABYE AN OLD TV AROUND?
Yes , point it at your digital camera or video camera and
in the viewer you should see the remote blinking a blush white
light when you press any button . sound like the pads are
dirty ,and need to be opened and cleaned.
Thank you, we have already tried this and no change unfortunately.
