Have you started a gamecube game by inserting the disc ?I'm guessing once the game starts the controller will work.

When i plug either of my gamecube controllers into the 1st port on my wii, they only move side to side not front to back

Hard trying to fix game cube controllers specifically because i don't think Nintendo really sells game cube controllers anymore. But try to plug it back in and fourth. I usually really go tough and move the joystick around, works for me, you can try doing that if it doesn't work you might have to buy a new one.

How do you get the nitendo game cube to play on the wii

The Nintendo Wii already comes with everything needed to play GameCube. GameCube disks are loaded and unloaded from the system in the same way that Wii game disks are used. To play the games you are going to need a GameCube controller and a GameCube memory card to save progress. On the top of the system (if the system is vertical) or on the side (if it is laying down) are two flaps, one which opens to reveal the controller ports and the other reveals the slots for the memory cards. To play GameCube, simply select the top left square from the main menu (like you would for any Wii game), select start, and then use the GameCube controller to play the game.

Will the Nintendo Wii control work with the Game Cube games? I can't find a button to play the game. I am trying to play Ratatouille on the Game Cube with a Wii control.

Well that depends if your trying to play gamecube games on the gamecube or the wii?, i assume your doing it on the wii because anyone would know that a wii control wouldn't work on a gamecube, not impossible, just very hard

wii remotes do work with the nintendo wii on wii games and on gamecube games, but it is better if you use a gamecube controller and plug it into the to holes under the flap, pictured below, hopefully.

I have a Wii and my kids play their gamecube games on it but when we insert the gamecube memory card it says no memory card in slot A??

Take the memory card out.
on the cartridge gently blow on the end you plug into the wii and slot A on the wii
if you have a game cube test to see if it works on the game cube
insert the card in slot B

Wii memory card for gamecube

You need a Game Cube memory card to save Game Cube Data, it goes in on the left side of the Wii near the back by where controller 1 plugs in.

Where do I plug in my Wii DDR mat?

On the top of the wii there is a hidden door that opens on the right hand side. open it and there are 4 game cube plug-ins. But make sure you have an x-box or game cube connector! For the X-box plug ins, the door is right behind the game cube plug ins!

Game Cube remotes for Wii

Hi, on the top of the Wii will be a hidden flap which conceals 4 gamecube controller ports. You will need to buy a memory card which there are two slots for that to store the games. Gamecube memory cards are quite cheap and you can pick them up for between £2 to £10. Hope that helps.
