Question about Ovens
When I set the temperature and press "Start" to preheat my oven, it doesn't get warm. I pulled the broiler drawer out and could see what appears to be a heating element illuminating. I can also smell gas. Is there an igniter that sparks the gas, or is that what the heating element does? In either case, my oven doesn't heat up. I don't know if this is useful, but the burners do work.
I have the super capacity 465 Whirlpool Gas Range and the stove-top works perfectly, however the oven will not light. From looks, the broiler seems to be trying to work (it is at least illumined), but the oven won't. What can I do to solve this problem
Whirlpool SF 386 Gas stove won't light with electronic ignite. If I keep punching the buttons after 10-15 mins it will light.
Some gas ranges may take 10 or so minutes to light.
Other than that you may have a defective glow bar ignitor.
If it glows and does not light the reistance in the ignitior has failed.
