My machine stopped recieving faxs.

As the model is not mentioned its difficult to right solution. But in general when a document sent from memory some times this happen. This is frequent if memory recieved is more and not printed.
Its cleared on printing all memory recieved or memory cleared(all received fax will deleted).
Also sending fax manually may be done.I.e.Dial the fax no.get the fax tone load the document press start or send. Also in setting the scanning resolution may be minimised up to150/200dpi for less memory.

Make sure there is a dial tone on the phone reciever. If there is not check the connections, the cord could be damaged or disconnected. If there is, check the Recieve mode.

If not call Brother support - its free

Since the fax machine is about 4 weeks old, why not give it back to HP? Warranty still covers it.

first, you can download the manual from the website at www.brother.com

but the basics, put your paper that you want to send upright in the document feeder, touch the fax button, dial the number, and your done.
make sure your phone cable is wired correctly to the fax.

The machine is set with the sleep mode as a default. The fax part can be changed to recieve a fax by pressing the fax mode button. Press it until it says Fax only, not F/T. F/T means Fax/Telephone. This mode would make it to where you have to pick up the reciever and press start when a fax comes in. The Fax only mode means it will pick up everytime a fax comes in automatically. this sounds like may be there is a phone line problem on those two machines or that line is there dial tone??may be you need to have local phone company check this out

The easiest thing to check is the recieve mode setting. most of the time when this happens the machine is set on manual recieve. Set it to automatic recieve and you should be fine.

Check for bent contact pins that rest against the cartridge.

Does this happen w/ more than one recipient of your faxes?

If you haven't done so already, please, send a fax to a different recipient (one using a different machine to receive the fax on).

HERE is HPs information, downloads, etc. for your HP LaserJet All-In-One 3050.

I didn't find anything there that describes the issue your recipient is experiencing.

Please, use the All-In-One to make a copy of a document. How does the copy come out?
