How do I set the extensions for the nightbell function on the KX-DT343?

I can't remember how to set which extensions should ring when the day/night function is active. Only selected lines should ring throughout the office when the receptionist isn't at the switchboard.

Ringing is controlled by an ICD group. You can do it from the control phone, but I wouldn't. Better to call your installer/dealer/service tech and have them do it. In programming from the console it's program 620 and 621 IIRC (that or 621 and 622)

SOURCE: Program manual

Your phone will work on a few different Panasonic phone systems. If you are looking for manuals on KX-T7720 and KX-T7720 all you will find is a user guide for the phone. You need to determine the model number of your phone system before starting to look for a programming manual.

SOURCE: Night switching for KX-T7630

You have 4 different modes of calling available to be programmed: DAY NIGHT BREAK and LUNCH. Your installer has to set up the ICD groups, but you can create a LUNCH group which looks like the day mode but rings all phones. The codes are accessed by dialing on the intercom *780x where 0 is day 1 is night 2 is lunch and 3 is break.

You may use the NIGHT mode in the daytime, but if you have voice mail, it will play the night greeting instead of a day greeting.

SOURCE: Panasonic KX-TD7896 Phone phone no longer rings only vibrates

Is there an 'M' on the display? If so, that means it is in 'meeting mode.' All you have to do is press and hold the star key (*) and that will take care of it.

SOURCE: Can't reset voicemail on line extension 139

If the voicemail already has a mailbox for 139 you just might have to change the greeting. If it has to be set up or if there is a password, you have to go into admin mailbox 999 (which might have a password) to delete password first, then go into mb139 and set up a greeting. Would need to know the model # of vm

We have a Panasonic KX-DT343 phone system in our office. Can it be configured to ring at a second extension (or more) if it isn't answered by the receptionist after 2 rings?

I must PRESUME this is a TDA or E system?

Several options can do that.
Call forward
covering extension
voicemail transfer (if you have it) may conflict as it can only do 1 type of transfer at a time. Perhaps use a forward key to toggle the set?

How to get speaker phone to work on Panansonic KX-DT343

Download the Panasonic KX-DT343 users manual and a pdf and there should be what you are looking for if not then there must be something funny going on with the menu system but why not have a look in the settings to see if the intercom setup is there but I think you will find out what you want from the KX-DT343.pdf file.

How do i change the names on the extensions on my kx-dt343 so when i hit the button to call that line it shows the right name?

From the phone connected to extension 101, press PROG and dial **1234 If the display responds Sys Prog #, then dial 004 and enter. It's the menu to assign names to extensions. You can sort of follow along and use the arrows, the keypad, and the ENTER and SAVE buttons to step through the names and change them.

MY EXTENSION DOESN'T RING FOR EXTERNAL CALLS ON THE KX-T7433 SYSTEM WE HAVE INSTALLED. HOW CAN I GET IT TO RING FOR INCOMING EXTERNAL CALLS?

JUST AS YOU'RE TOO LAZY TO USE THE SHIFT KEY AND LOSE THE CAPS LOCK KEY, I'M TOO LAZY TO LOOK UP THELINK TO A MANUAL. HOWEVER, I CAN TELL YOU THAT YOU COULD GO TO THE PROGRAMMING MANUAL FOR A PANASONIC KX-TD 816/1232 AND LOOK AT DIL 1:N PROGRAM 603 AND 604. IT'S WHERE YOU SET THE EXTENSIONS THAT RING WHEN A CALL COMES IN.
