The picture has suddenly changed where it is located on the screen, it is not centered, if it was an old tv I would look for the horizontal/vertial adjustment (and I did look). The picture would be fine then in differnt scenes it would jump a bit and the picture would get bigger. Now the top part of the picture is gone, as if the screen has 'rolled up' This change happened after we had some cable repair done to the Insight service, but I doubt that could have caused it, and I did call their tech support and was told the same. If anyone out there can tell me how to fix it that would be wonderful.....and btw I got a lot of great tips just from reading all the other posts looking to see if anyone else had this problem. Thanks much!
Thank you I was really hoping to avoid that lol this thing is a monster and we would have to rent a truck just to take it in then the bench charge and whatever else looks like the guy we bought it from may have screwed us over just a bit! ANy way you look at it you'll have to take it to the shop. A tech can use the secret service menu to adjust the vertical & horizontal size. Or you may have whopped up B+ issue, that could be hard to find so replacing the deflection board woul;d solve that, hope this helps.

Sounds like it could be the power supply. Try changing the brightness of the screen and changing picture modes like movie or standard. If this causes the flashing to change in severity, it will most likely be the power supply board
I will need your old board as a trade in core, then a new board is $325.76 plus Shipping & Handling E mail:Cheese City T.V. Service at [email protected] Thank You
Its the color wheel assy. Its changing speed due to worn bearings. You may also hear a hum coming from the rear of the TV. Seek an RCA authorized service center to resolve this.
The RCA TV uses a different type of Convergence Circuit then most other TV's. There is A fuse next to the FLY BACK that opens that can cause this. If not handy call an Authorized Service Center, get an estimate. Cost avg $400.00 to $650.00 depending on your location and problem.
first to change format push the arrow button to the left or right. if you go into piicture in the menu then go to avance picture settings then turnoff or uncheck autoformat.
Can you post a picture of what the video is doing? It shounds like a pincushion problem, but it may be convergence amp as well. A picture could clarify it for me so I would know which direction to assist you in.
If the convergence is missing in the menu in screens, you have a bad reg ic on the convergence power supply the part number is 215530,the power supply is located on the black plastic above the right module with all the heat sinks
The unit most likely has a short in the horizontal section and would require repair by a service center. Go here to find a JVC repair center in your area http://maps.jvc.com/cAscList/
