well try to use hiren boot v15.2.
and run mini win xp...or just reinstall your OS.

plz reinstall the sound driver from the mother board cd or download it from the manufacture website

There are steps to 'change' the visual effects of the "Display." 1. Right click on "Desktop", click Personalize, click, Display Settings. 2. Identify, Monitor used? 3. Down (arrow) select Monitors' graphics. 4. Adjust, (low>high) resolution. 5. Select, Colors (16 bit>32bit), etc. 6. Click, Advanced Settings, click Properties ("check device status"). 7. Update Drivers (only if, necessary?). 8. Click on "List All Modes" select valid (modes) for the monitor. Note: Always click on the 'Apply', and 'OK' buttons after application changes for the process to take effect. 9. Restart "Computer". *Next go, to: Screen Saver, in the Screen Saver Settings change 'Power' settings. *Next go, to: Start Menu, click on Product Name: (Toshiba), click 'Utilities' click, Toshiba Assist, click 'Optimize' click, "Display"; change power on display. *Next go, to Control Panel, in Mobile PC, click; "Adjust commonly used mobility settings" (changes the following); Display brightness, and Connect Display. “I hope this Fix it!”

Try starting in safe mode. Hold down oth the control and F8 kays and press power. Do not release Contro & F8 until it starts to beep. Then it shoud start in safe mode. If the computer will not start in safe mode you have a hardware problem. If it starts in safe mode, you have a Windows problem that re-installing Windows will solve that (to a point). Without the Original CD and install code, you have two options. Buy a new OS or.......pirate it. I do not recommend the last.

There are many variations of the Satellite L10, most of them come with XP, but in most machines the the graphics are Intel 852GM.

Try anexternal monitor on it. If it works that then you just need new screen.
