F2 E0 error code on display pannel

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F2-E0 error code indicates a open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

We have a double oven built in Model KEBC208Kss04.We had a power failure. When the power came back on we tried to set the clock but the "start?" appears in the window.. When you push start the clock goes...

Unfortunately this is a frequent result of a power failure. You should know that during power failure we often have also a voltage variation. This variation is burning out thousands of clocks - control board in many ovens, fridges e.t.a. usually is a partial damage on the clock-control board however there is not any solution but to replace it with a new one.

However in your case first in not an ordinary control of about $150-$200 but it is cost $407. In addition you have mention that the oven work normal so you should decide if you would live with it since the damage in only for the clock time or go on to replace it.

Here below we have a link with the parts layout of your oven in which you can also see the parts codes and the price of the control board and if you wand you can even order it.

Kitchen Aid ovens - error codes

The F-3 error code typically means you have sensor problem. The sensor is usually mounted in the oven space up near the top of the unit. The first thing to do is turn off the circuit breaker to the oven. Do you have an ohm meter? I suggest if you don't to purchase one. They are relatively inexpensive. Maybe you can borrow one from a friend. Disconnect the sensor from the electronic control and measure the resistance. There should be a wiring diagram in the top of the unit that will help you to locate the sensor wires. Most sensors should read around 1100 ohms at room temperature. If sensor reads as an open circuit or has a very high resistance, it must be replaced. If instead it reads very low, then there is a short in the wiring. Some units have a fuse in series with the sensor. Check to see that the fuse has not blown.
