I have an Evolt E500 and the LCD Screen does not display anything! The backlight is on - when I power the camera on the screen gets a little brighter than when it is off and if you view it at tight angles you see more illumination. The camera still takes photographs, flashes etc but no display - very frustrating.
Any suggestions would be grateful.
P.S. The camera has been well used for a few years (proberbly not worth sending to olympus!) I have swapped similar screens in psps but can not find any info/part number for the E500 screen.

The camera captures pictures fine on memory card and these open on my pc. No info is displayed on the screen it is just black, it goes from Black(On) to Black(off) when I toggle lcd on/off.
I would replace but I can't find anywhere to get one from.
Yes, you have to press the info button to display onto the lcd panel. When this is pressed the panel changes from Black with backlight on to black with backlight off. I have browsed ebay but nothings available at the minute, I have found some olympus 2.5" screen but they are for a different model and I am not sure of compatibility.
