It would only detect when bluetooth device when the bluetooth device is connected. It doesn't even show in the control panel until it is detected. If using win XP, service pack 3 must be installed in order to get a bluetooth cpl option.

Bluetooth device not detected in device manager and not even in bios. bluetooth device shown none in bios. what can be done to solve the problem.

if the bluetooth device is not detected in the BIOS, chances are, your laptop did not ship with a bluetooth device. Try to go to support.dell.com and check the original system configuration to verify if your system indeed came with a bluetooth card. you can also check with dell support about it. if you have verified the card is available and it is enabled in the BIOS, try to remove and reconnect the card and if it is still not detected, you may have to get a new bluetooth card or request for warranty service/replacement if applicable.

I cant get my iphone to detect bluetooth devices. some devices detect it but are unable to pair with the iphone 3g

Most Bluetooth devices can connect only to one device. Make sure that it is not paired with any other device. Then again, if that doesn't work then, probably the Bluetooth device is non-compatible.

Hi,

What u need to do is not just turn on the blue tooth on your phone but set it to 'find me', so that other bluetooth devices would be able to locate the device. the 'find me' option is also under the blue tooth menu.
