Detect bluetooth device - Computers & Internet

Bluetooth radio is not "Enabled" in Device Manager. Turn it on.
Make sure is is detectable and Paired with the other device.

kindly check your hardware its working on not check by hardware detaction tools downlode by google ,& check hardware name .& driver version .

if the bluetooth device is not detected in the BIOS, chances are, your laptop did not ship with a bluetooth device. Try to go to support.dell.com and check the original system configuration to verify if your system indeed came with a bluetooth card. you can also check with dell support about it. if you have verified the card is available and it is enabled in the BIOS, try to remove and reconnect the card and if it is still not detected, you may have to get a new bluetooth card or request for warranty service/replacement if applicable.

Ensure that your phone is switched

on and the headset is switched off.

2. Press and hold the power key until

the green indicator light starts to

3. Activate the Bluetooth feature on

the phone, and set the phone to

search for Bluetooth devices.
4. Select the headset from the list

Most Bluetooth devices can connect only to one device. Make sure that it is not paired with any other device. Then again, if that doesn't work then, probably the Bluetooth device is non-compatible.

check out the drivers weather they are properly installed in your computer .. if your computer detects the bluetooth device then it working fine it must drivers problem but if its not detected then you have to buy a new bluetooth device ..

What u need to do is not just turn on the blue tooth on your phone but set it to 'find me', so that other bluetooth devices would be able to locate the device. the 'find me' option is also under the blue tooth menu.

Check there is a switch to "On" the bluetooth device..and if its 'On'  then goto device manager by typing devmgmt.msc at run and hit the enter key and check if bluetooth is listed over there........

you have to install windows vista again only to enjoy the full function for the notebook coz in windows xp it won't work i to tried this and had faced the same problem in acer travelmate laptop
