I was playing my ps2, then I went to eat dinner, when I came back I turn it on an nothing came up any more,it just turn on.I almost forgot the day before, I put my ps2 in my backpack and I bounce it going down the stairs.
I have the same problem. My playstation 2 was working the day before then the next day I turned it on and I got the configuration screen. I turned it off and back on and then the black screen came up and that is all I get now. Did something blow inside it? Is it fixable or not? What happened? It has not been juggled around or dropped either. Any help would be appreciated.I have the same problem. Hmmmmm...
That is strange how the boot-up sequence can change. When You bought it, it sounds like it got mod-chipped when you bought it. if are one on the techy side of life then you can open your ps2 and look for one (google mod chip). Also the chance of one being there is higher because it can play copied games. Even though you bought it with the copied games, 1) copied games are illegal, and , 2) PS2's shouldn't be able to play copied games cause it wasn.t designed too.
You may be able to repair this. Open it up and clean out all the dust and lint. Be sure nothing is on the motherboard causing a short circuit. Tr it out and see if it recoveres after your clean up all the dust and lint from the motherboard.
