SOURCE: adjusting color/ user mode??

The TV will not let you set brightness, contrast, color or tint in the preset modes like Vivid, Movie, Standard etc. Look for a mode that says custom, user etc..

Hello
Your TVs memory chip may be cnfused with so many commands. Just reset the set first. To reset it, enter in "Menu" and select All Reset option, highlight it and press OK. All settings will be reset to its original factory settings. color, contrast, brightness etc will come to 50% of total value. Now you can set them to according to your taste. OK.

Samsung tv calibration

You're asking about the picture settings to this TV; I assume, and posts this solution. Just set it to user mode; in terms of picture; set the Color to minimum (0); Contrast = 70 ~ 75%; Brightness to 30 ~ 40%. In this way, just set a picture in Black/White first. If you see that the contrast or brightness level should be adjusted to get a good B/W picture, do it according to your viewing taste. After set this, advance the color; and compare the skin tone of a news reader at the studio.
In most cases, this must be the perfect adjustment. If you wish to get more details to picture, advance the Sharpness control. Do not set it too more. Less than 30% will be sufficient. If the broadcasting system is NTSC, you have to adjust the Hue too.

Hello; I am John at J. D. Electronics, Poland Maine. This problem is very likely caused by a defective LCD panel. This part is very expensive! Aprox $ 1000.00 from Sanyo . Obviously, that is more than the set sold for.

Wrong, abnormal or missing colors

・ If any colors (red, green or blue) are missing, check the video cable to make sure it is securely connected. Loose or broken pins in the cable connector could cause an improper connection.
・ Press and select Picture | Settings to adjust the Hue and Saturation settings. You can also select
Picture | Advanced to adjust the Color Temperature settings.
・Connect the TV to another computer and check if the problem is with the computer screen.

Other than that there is no mention of color adjustment

Well i really want to know what level the coular and brightness lvel has to be on a toshiba t.v

You can set these controls to your liking, though a lower brightness setting might increase the life of the screen. First, set the brightness and contrast to a level that is pleasing to the eyes, then adjust the color to look realistic - enough color without being disturbing. If faces area look greenish or purplish, then also adjust the tint (sometimes called Hue) until you get accurate flesh tone. Flesh tone is the best thing to adjust for; when you get good flesh tone, the rest of the picture will look great. ALWAYS make adjustments during a live news broadcast, which tends to have the most accurate balance of brightness, contrast, color level and hue. Note that commercials are all recorded in different studios with different settings, and will usually not look right - it's best to just live with this than to constantly readjust the TV. There are also DVD's available which walk you through proper TV adjustment.
