Remove the pot and basket. Remove or tape closed the water reservoir lid.
Turn the appliance over and remove all screws that secure the case
halves. Lift off the case to expose the heating element and controls.
Inspect the control cavity to determine if the solution is simple:
disconnected wire, debris, etc. If so, fix, reassemble, and test.
Otherwise, continue with the next step.
Use a DVOM to test the HEATING ELEMENTS and the switch, thermostat, and timer .
Replace any defective parts or decide to replace the appliance, as appropriate.
Reassemble the appliance and reinstall the pot and basket.

It seems that the coffee solenoid valve is blocked or broken. Cofffe solenoid valve is the valve which open to deliver the water after the pump to the coffee shower.
The tap valve is leaking inside the machine needs new seals.If moisture is escaped and hit the printed circuit card on the tap, the machine will stop you from doing other functions.
I don't know any of the suppliers in the UK, but yes the problem can be fixed at home, it is very easy to replace the steam valve, just make sure that you get the complete valve(body and tap rod). Try this site they might ship the parts to you (saecoparts.com)
I have the same problem as well, talked to a repair shop and it's definitely a "send in" or warranty repair. I was told it's an o-ring issue. I have no water coming out of the steam wand and it goes into the dispense tray instead.
try inserting the frother in hot water its probably block and for our water everytime you whant steam open vale boiler start to boil water let the water drip into the tray wait untill steam come out pierre
