Toshiba satellite pro p100 screen problem

The LCD can be replaced. The part is around $50-$75 I believe. It can be tricky to replace, but if you take your time, you can save money by doing it yourself. The screen sounds cracked or broken, and black & white will not work either.

DVD not working

download wintv from http://hp.com ....you click support and drivers type in pc model details select model from list and then scroll through driver list ...wintv runs on all pc's and installs all codecs required to play most media cd,dvd,svcd,vcd,mpeg1 and 2,divx etc.
also nero burning rom (suite) has a pretty good resource in it player + the bonus of being able to burn a multitude of media.

Problem with my sound

That is normal, you need to reinstall drivers after installing the system from a generic Windows CD.
Here is toshiba download page
Click and follow instructions to download drivers.
You may need also to reinstall network, video, modem, and pad drivers if you want to achieve full functionality.

Windows vista drivers are not supporting for windows Xp.Better to u take sound drivers from nearest Toshiba showroom or service center.

Go to Start/Help and search on "update drivers" without the quotes.
This should list a few search results on PCs HELP files for instructions on Updating Drivers.

Else, google "sound driver toshiba p100" without the quotes and look for Microsoft or Toshiba site in search results preferably, else a driver download site you trust.
