Electrolux IQ washer dispenser drawer does not lock in place

Question edited for clarity.

Did you remove the drawer and remove the top off the fabric softener siphon? Most just pull off. Or turn it over and force hot water in from underneath. Scrub the hole in the upper part of the drawer with a pot brush.

Or the motorized diverter in the top of the machine is faulty if it has one? The diagram isn't clear.

I understand that you are trying to remove the dispenser cover for your Electrolux washer, model# EIFLS60JIW. The cover is locked in 3 areas of the dispenser, where the cover meets the dispenser. The right side, the middle, and the left side. All you will need to do is pull up on the cover and it should come apart from the dispenser. I understand that you are having trouble with the softener dispenser not dispensing on your Electrolux washer. I suggest running a System-clean cycle on your washer, as well as taking out the dispenser drawer and taking the dispenser compartments out and cleaning them. It might be that the softener has built up inside the dispenser drawer. If that does not work, reset your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. Hello wsmith454 - From what you are describing, more than likely the bottom drawer possibly has a faulty latch. If I was in your position, I would personally suggest contacting a professional to accurately assist with the repair or installation of the part.

Try unpluging for a few minutes . wake the washer up by turning knob then at the same time press and hold start cancel error will display . take off top and you will find a tech sheet on left side and that should help. you can manually unlock the door after taking top off and reach down to door lock you will feel a plastic switch to pull

Hello royal37 - Hi - The dispenser drawer could either be cracked or have a broken latch due to interference between the drawer front and top panel. Contact a professional to move forward accurately and might possibly need to order a service kit (PN: 137146000/part number may be different depending on your model number).

you will need to remove the lid first then remove the screws that hold the control panel in place.then you will need to remove the door boot on the front panel. there will be two screws on the bottom of the panel that will need to be removed as well as the screws on the top of the panel.

When you are looking at the drawer, the magnet stands upright on the far right side just inside the outer front casing about halfway down. There is a small plastic clip that holds it in place. You don't need to take anything apart to reinsert the magnet, just open the drawer, but it may be easier to see the location if you pull the drawer all the way out of the hole.
