You need to check first if the wireless switch is turn on.If it is on, check the function key for the wireless. Some computers have function key. Sometimes it is combination of fn and f5. Press those keys at the same time and you should see a pop up window and check if the current status is on. If it is on, uninstall/reinstall the wireless driver in device manager. and restart your computer. If this didn't work. You need to do re installation of your operating system.
Hello,
I'm not a team member, but
1. Select your GoGear 2GB player from this list: http://www.search.philips.com/search/search?q=GoGear+2GB&s=all&l=global&h=all&o=
2. When not having the program Philips Device Manager installed on your computer yet: Look under Software and Drivers, select the Device/Firmware Manager for your player.
2.1 Run the execute file Device Manager for installing the Device Manager toolbox.
3. Run Philips Device Manager:
Having launched Philips Device Manager at Start -> Programs -> Philips Digital Audio Player -> SA2XXX -> Philips SA2XXX Device Manager on your PC
Connect your player to the PC
Device Manager should acknowledges your player and automatically goes into recovery mode.
Follow the instruction of the Device Manager.
After the player has been repaired, remove it from your PC and re-start.
If this was helpful I'd appreciate your answer.

Go to the device manager (Right-Click My Computer, Properties-Device Manager), then Go to Network Adapters and Click on it, see if the Wireless Adapter is there. if it is, right click on it and select uninstall, then after this, On the Device Manager Page Menu on top of the page, click on Action, select Scan For Hardware changes, and let your system re-install it. ...but if it is not in the device manager, go to your system set-up (By restarting your system)...and make sure that the Wireless Device is Enabled under Peripheral Devices.

If you have a Philips HDD Series, it will not work with Windows Vista or Windows Media Player 11 except for briefly, then the player will stop working one day. Your only hope is to use it with Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10 - it is, basically, an obsolete player at this point in time.

Hi, Your query "is there anyway...remove...wireless network connections 1-8 ...solely on 3?"
In your Device Manager, delete all instances of the wireless network connection except # 3.
However in WinXP, the default setting of the Device Manager is to hide certain devices (like printers, non plug & play devices and removable devices not currently installed/connected).
In your Device Manager, pls click on "View", check "Show Hidden Devices." Thus enabled, all hidden devices (whether multiple or not) will now be displayed.
Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.
If you have the software conect the device to the computer; press volumen + with on/off switch at same time; then press volumen - anh hold it. The software recognice the device and you can update the firmware or repair it.
