Our tv powers on, however, there is a blank screen with the words "no sync" in the middle of the screen. There is no sound, however, the remote will power the tv on and off. Does this sound like the same problem everyone is having? Is there a solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This cord looks like a regular 3 pin cord used for things like computers, etc. You can get them from home center stores, hardware stores, computer stores etc.
hi all .ive had the same problem,a thick black line down
screen.sometimes it flickers from top to bottom and other permantly in
view.but i have solved it.forget your ic boards and taking apart tv.have
you got either a ps3 or wii connected to tv.if so unplug power lead
from socket and relocate in seperate socket.make sure the lead is
completely free of any other leads and you might just find this works.i
think the power lead creates some sort of frequency that the tv picks up
.good luck hope it works
Sounds like the Main Mother Board is the problem. Basically, it's the brain inside the TV. Controls and functions is that board's job.
Soyo parts are hard to come by. You can try running the number off the mother board on the internet and maybe a supplier will pop up.
Their Soyo.com web site isn't working. So, I'm thing they maybe out of business.
If you have some electronic experance and if your lucky, the heatsink on the chip processor is the problem.
