Maytag stove model JJW9530AAW not working

Model JJW9530AAW stove displays FF on the clock display when you try to do any function of the stove. For instance if you enter you want to bake at 350F, it will take all that info as in should but after a few seconds it comes back with the display of FF and there is a fan running all the time. I presume it is a cooling fan.

SOURCE: Jenn Air oven model #

Hi,

There are a couple of steps you can do. First unplug the unit and check the wiring at the back. Next disconnect/reconnect the connectors at the control board. Check them for any visible problems.P4 on the board goes to the elements perhaps it is loose or has pulled something else loose. I think this is a long shot as the board is working and as far as I know there is not a separate power input to the board that just runs the display. For replacement of the part you can check the bellow link:

My Maytag Performa oven and stove top will not turn on (heat up)

When I turn on my Maytag performa using the "bake" function, everything looks ok on the display, however the temp. never rises above 100. I've tried "bake" and "convect", and neither one work. "Clean" doesn't work either. The oven will lock, and display shows that it's heating up, but temp. never rises.
However....."broil" feature works just fine.
Please help.

F1 is displayed on Maytag Electric Oven I ran the self-clean cycle on my Maytag Model MER5530 oven yesterday; before it completed F3 was displayed and beeps sounded. I pressed CANCEL, the F3...

Hi

F1 error means that you have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad. To check these please follow these simple instructions:
  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad...

Faulty obsolete (20yr old) oven thermostat with separate fan/light switch. Can't find a 'universal' replacement. If I fit a standard 2 tab thermostat, the fan and light will switch with the element Stoves oven DF550 SI with a 46thc502/G5 thermostat which controls well (if 40C higher relative to the oven thermometer). However after an overnight cool down the oven element switches on when the mains is turned back on, even though the oven control is off. I just twiddle the oven thermostat control slightly and all is well. I can't find a 250C, 1m phile, 24mmx6mm spindle thermostat with a separate connection tab for the internal recirculating fan and oven light anywhere. Otherwise the single oven cooker works and looks like new (nearly). I was wondering whether I have to piggy back a switch on the back of a standard 2 tab thermostat (or vica versa) or attach a separate switch to the oven. Can't believe I'm the only one with this problem. I'm guessing some fragile electrical contact occurs in the thermostat on cooldown to turn on the element and its in-series lamp, and this contact easily breaks by slightly turning the thermostat. ps there is no timer and I do have the circuit diagram. I found a working solution to this problem: When turning off the oven, I don't take it to the end stop. I turn it passed the click when the element and indicator turn off, then further till the ligth and fan turn off and just a fraction further but not to the end stop. Now the oven element doesnt turn on each time I turn the mains on for some other reason ( eg grill or igniters). I guess there is something wrong inside the thermostat, but this work arround seems OK if not ideal. I've marked a new stop position around the oven dial to remind me. This was easier than making a physical stop for the oven dial.
